Honestly, I liked them a Lot.
The original Stanogen in the 30ml glass dropper bottles was my favorite for a Long Time (Helios Gel has now become my Most Used product).

I'm not sure there would be any appreciable difference. I don't think it would hurt to try and see if you can tell a change. The gel is superior for many reasons yes, but the difference in the amount that gets into the skin might be negligible in the big picture sense. maybe the Nos father can set us strait on this.
