As much as I can, I'm definitely skipping things on days that I'm hurting but overall I'm getting a decent amount done. Like today would be a full body with heavy bench but I'm taking a few extra days rest for my shoulders. Il probably just do some cardio and a couple things for legsGood to see you getting in some good training!
We are doing the same thing, just at different levels in the game. It's either "This is okay to push today so LFG!!!" or "This ain't ready, go easy, find something else or take a day off..."As much as I can, I'm definitely skipping things on days that I'm hurting but overall I'm getting a decent amount done. Yep that's exactly how I feel. I'm actually contemplating putting all of my chest and shoulder work into absolute maintenance mode so it can let my shoulders recover and I can use that extra recovery ability for an extra deadlift day because I'm really loving deadlifts right nowWe are doing the same thing, just at different levels in the game. Sounds like a good idea to me. If DL's are going well and you are really enjoying them, then maybe now is the time to chase them.Yep that's exactly how I feel. Tomorrow is pull, if my shoulders up to it I wanna go for max rep deadlifts with 315, I think I can get 20 lol. I also work doubles every day this week tho and I'm low carb till Friday, probably not a great idea, but I'm itching to do itSounds like a good idea to me. Are you saying it's ok to pull twice, but not if 1 session is a Widowmaker type set? And yes, it just kinda excites me to go for a challenge like that. If I go ham like that tonight I probably wouldn't pull again for 5-7 days. I imagine my lower back will be pretty sore for a while too.If you intend to pull twice per week, don’t do it - you don’t need much more total weekly volume even when you increase frequency, so a widowmaker is a good way to rip through your recovery budget.
Now if you weren’t married to pulling again sooner and this goal excites you more than ensuring you can get another productive pull session in sooner, do it! It will be a neat feat to have under your belt, and it’s good to do some exciting things in training sometimes.
He has generally said DL once a week (if that), and add in other hinge accessories on other days if you want to.Are you saying it's ok to pull twice, but not if 1 session is a Widowmaker type set

But I'm definitely interested in the challenge more than anything
That's what I've been doing but I'm wanting to actually deadlift more often as a whole. He has generally said DL once a week (if that), and add in other hinge accessories on other days if you want to.
