10.89 last year but a few problems might keep it out of track this year. I have videos at home in my computer but I'm always working or school and using the app. I'll try and post. I have a bunch of friends running 10's and even 9's. One guy from my shop running low 8's but that's a race car.

Yeah the price of that hoyt shocked me when I first saw that. Have you shot that new Helim? Looks pretty nice. Real small and pretty similar to the z7.
Yep. I've shot the HeliM several times. I go hunting a lot with a guy that owns an archery shop around here and he usually lets me shoot about anything. He offered me a HeliM for 700 for the bare bow. I just like the Z7X better. I like the shorter a2a and more forgiving brace height. I compete in archery competitions and 3D so that forgiving brace height is very beneficial.

On the other hand, last season we went out to Montana for a bow hunt and took our Atvs. We drove out on this trail for about 11 miles, then we walked about 4 miles to where we set up our treestands. Walking four miles with a backpack full of stuff and a bow can get tiring. Not to mention I had my climber stand on my back.

I thought long and hard about switching to the HeliM, but my wife has made it clear I have to buy her the Mathews Jewel first. She's into bowhunting as well. She's shooting the Mathews Passion right now and wants the Jewel.

We are both generally Mathews shooters.

Has to be high tens with a great driver and high boost and spray. Very doable for a DSM properly built or with a suicide setup (built to die not last). I would guess that car in the 11s unless it has a build under the hood.We used to call the older DSM's hillbilly hotrods since many of the guys would just take any old dsm with a 4G63 and boost and spray the **** outa it till it blew up with the simplest bootleg mods.I had an 02 WRX with upgraded turbo, injectors,FMIC,down pipe/exhaust and fuel management that ran 12.6 in the 1/4 at 21psi boost no spray.made for a fun quick streetcar but got me in trouble since on the street a 12 second AWD car will beat cars that are much quicker at the track since traction issues aren't an issue and street races rarely get outa 3rd gear(racing light to light) .Needless to say I pissed off ALOT of nice fox bodies , camaros, vets, and exotics with my little AWD 4 cylinder turbo charged car.
I had two DSM before I bought the EVO I just couldn't keep fixing them anymore as we all know DSM break a lot.

If youre not breaking shît,you're not making enough power. We used to say. I know alot the DSM guys would destroy trannys as well as alot of WRX guys but that seemed to be alot of them not knowing how to drive or launch an AWD car and doing dumb shît. Im not too familiar with the evos weak points but i think i remember hearing guys that made alot of power shearing axles off the line. Happily I drove my WRX for 3 years with 300whp and road/street raced very often always and never smoked a clutch or transmission an sold it shifting like new when I did. Some that came into our shop were just mind baffling as to wtf these guys were doin when they broke things. Of course it was always the cars fault, never theirs.

Cars get me in trouble cus i dont have fun driving unless im goin insanely fast, so after I parted mine back to stock and sold it I start buying Harley's and riding 7 years ago. I would like a murdered out STI mildly modded to 350-400whp though if I could afford it but that won't be happening anytime soon.

Yeah every car has weak points and EVO is no exemption I have the 6 speed broke twice 5 speed is better for drag but I daily drive and I like the 6 speed better I'm hoping to rebuild it and just do road race drag race days are over since I refuse to go 5 speed.

The key with an awd car is keeping a stock clutch... you might not get 50k miles out of it and your 60 ft times will suffer a little but you wont end up having to replace the tranny like you probably will if you run a $1500, 19 puck, diamond plated, lock-tite infused aftermarket clutch kit. Oh and slip the clutch on launches instead of dumping it.

id love to get a 07+ STi 6 speed tranny it's a stronger unit and better highway mpg. The 5 speed is better for 0-60 and 1/4 mile but most of my driving is highway.

Haha. She sounds like a keeper. One of these days I am hoping to go out west and draw an elk tag. Would love being within bow range of one of those beasts.

I heard Virginia is a great state to hunt elk. I travel all over the country and bowhunt. Last year I went up to West Virginia and hunted on one of their hunting farms. I killed a ram on it. It was a great experience and I'd love to go back and hunt one of their boar. So far I've hunted in Georgia, northern California, Wyoming, Montana, West Virginia, Virginia, Florida (gators), Louisiana (gators), North Carolina and I've went scouting in Arkansas. Where abouts are you from?

This year we're hoping to go to Colorado and Ohio.

One of the most intense hunting trips I've ever been on was in Wyoming. We were being stalked by a mountain lion. We heard it outside our tent and I displayed a couple of thoughts from my AR15 and it decided to pack its bags. :)

Another intense trip was a camping trip I had when I was 16 in Alaska. My dad, 2 cousins, my grandfather, uncle, and my wife and I all went camping up that way. We weren't hunting we were just taking pictures and hiking. We heard wolves howling all that night and even seen a few. My colt .45 was ready for that though.

I came within 40 yards of a grizzly in Colorado once too. We were going Atv riding there and ran into a grizzly and her cubs. I thought it was the funniest thing ever, because I was on my Grizzly 700 Atv. :D

What an all animals have you harvested? I have deer, bear, ram, boar, turkey, coyote, fox, moose.

Man you have quite the list of places you have been hunting. Im fresh out of college so i haven't had a chance for many hunting trips yet. I mainly hunt whitetail here in Indiana. Indiana is definitely a sleeper state for big deer. I havent harvested my trophy yet but I try to shoot as many does as I can. As long as my freezer is full, its not a big deal that my wall is empty. Problem with where I hunt is all the shotgun hunters come out and kill of the big bucks while leaving the does. So our buck to doe ratio is pretty weak. They are talking about instituting a earn a buck tag where you have to kill a doe first. That would be great for us bow hunters that put in the time. So far the only species I have harvested are whitetail, coyote, and various small game of course. Sounds like you have some pretty good hunting stories. How bout that moose hunt? You harvest that with a bow?

Not saying it isn't possible just curious as to what is under the hood. You are right; with big $$$ you can make any car fast. My 2008 vette runs an 11.9 1/4 mile on run flats. My only mods are CAI, AR Headers, Corsa Sport exhaust, and a tune. I put down 405 HP on the dyno 2 years ago and I was happy with that.

Yeah, all of them with a bow. I've killed animals with rifle too. My favorite rifle is a Savage .270 bolt action...other than my AR15, but I don't use the AR to hunt. I usually just use it for target practice and as a collection considering I miss the Marines.

Your hunting analogy is a good one, and really that's how it should be. I hunt for venson too. I just treat hunting more of a sport. I know you're not supposed to, but it's basically the way I see it. I hunt on farms, private land, treestands, ground blinds, Atvs, etc. I have one of every animal I have killed mounted.

My man cave is filled full of hunting expedition photos, fishing photos, weightlifting, MMA, Afghanistan, etc. I never poach, but I scout 24/7. I have trail cameras out right now. I'll start putting tree-stands up 2 months before season comes in. I've been putting out salt blocks. The other day I went to Dicks sporting goods and spent over $1,000 on hunting supplies for the upcoming season. I'll probably do the same thing again before this season rolls around.

Last year I hunted out of 9 different trees (I use one ladder stand and the rest are climber stands). I hunted in three different counties here in Tennessee. That's what I love so much about my work schedule. I work 4 on, then I'm off for 4 days and can spend the entire 4 days doing what I love to do. When hunting season rolls around, I'll volunteer for a 5 day rotation instead of a 4. It's stressful, but worth it when you get all of those off days.

I've been hunting since I was 8 years old. My father and grandfather took me everywhere with them. My first trip was to northern California when I was 11. Every since then about every season my family, friends and I have gathered up and went to another state for a week or so. My goal would be to travel half the country solely on hunting explorations before I die. My dream is to go to Africa and hunt, explore, etc.

I've harvested moose before with a bow, yes. I killed it with a Mathews Drenalin; it was the only moose I've ever killed. I've killed 23 deer, 4 bear, 8 coyotes, 20 turkeys, 3 ducks, 1 fox in 18 years. My goal this season is to add an elk to that list. I'm considering hunting elk in Virginia. I have a friend on a bowhunting forum that says Virginia is packed full of elk and the farmers there are begging people to kill them.

Have you ever hunted dangerous game? Bear, coyote, cougar, etc.?

Where in LA did you hunt gators? I'm gonna post a pic of my bike and my truck this weekend when I get them cleaned up...I waxed half my bike last weekend, then got too drunk to finish it. Haha.
I'll ask my dad next time I talk to him. It was quite a while ago and he was the one that planned the trip. He goes down to the same spot about every year and hunts. I'll ask him and get back to you with the name of the place.

I'm glad to see someone else is posting a truck! I was starting to think I was a rare breed lol

Redoing the motor in my blue Rex to get it to 500-600 hp with my shiny t60 turbo and six puck clutch . Just gotta get the rest of the $ to fully build the motor all at once.

I don't see a problem with treating hunting like a sport at all. I just have bad luck when it comes to trophy bucks. I've never heard that about Virginia being packed with Elk. I always thought out west was where the elk hunting was good. I'm poor or else my hunting addiction would definitley be as stong as yours. Haha. I can't imagine getting within bow range of that moose. That had to have been such a rush. I assume it was a bull? Only dangerous game we have here in Indiana are coyotes. I have one with bow. Came wondering in while I was deer hunting one morning. Few with .223 and we also do some trapping as well. I'd like to get into water fowl too but just can't ever find the time. Problem is goose season over laps deer season and you can't get me out of the woods during deer season. We don't do a ton of scouting but I hunt the same private property every year. We put our cams out there and move a stand if we need to. We do plant some food plots though. Last year we also dug a water hole and a trench from a small creek. Worked well with the drought we had been having.

What are you plans for the truck? You mentioned maybe lifting it. Do you know how high you are going and what kind of tires you are going ot run?
