So...Last year at this time I tipped the scales at a whopping 345...Very embarrassing. Today I weight 285 and im still embarrassed. I am trying to figure out what I can do to drop to around 230 by September (probably not realistic, but I'd like to stay positive). I work out 5 or 6 days a week until I am completely gassed, but I am not noticing any progress with my lifting or with this stubborn arm flab or belly fat. I am basically asking if anyone had any suggestions for supps to take for strength, weight loss, and energy. On top of that some sort of idea of a diet that would aide in my goal. I am not sensitive to stims and I love cardio. Once I drop more weight Im hoping to do one of the couch to 5k programs, so I can get into running. Thanks in advance.

Well, if your diet and workout routine are good, you won't need any kind of fat loss supplements to help you lose fat.

You should make sure that you are eating enough. Don't go below 500 calories under maintainance. If you do, it may detriment your fat loss.

5 or 6 days a week of lifting is a lot. You could probably stick with 3 or 4 days of lifting (doing full body movements will be best for your goals) while doing some HIIT on off days. You're body will need time to recover from hitting the weights with your body that is why 3 or 4 days a week is ideal.

If you are looking for a good energy supp, IBE makes a mood enhancer/fat loss product called X-Force. It always helps enhance my mood and give me a great boost of energy and stamina while I am lifting in the gym. Like I said, you really don't need a fat loss product at this point, but X-Force will certainly help you with energy.

Well, I dont lift all of those days. I typically try to alternate Back/Bi, Cardio, Chest/Tri, Cardio, Legs, Cardio.

I try to read some of these workouts on here, but I dont understand. I hate to sound ignorant, but the terminology confuses me. I dont know...that I know what im doing? id really like to drop this stomach flab and arms.

Well, like I said, compound movements will give you great fat loss results. Some great ones are: Squats, Deadlifts, Pull Ups, Push Ups, Chin Ups, Dips, Lunges, Bench, Rows. Circuits and Supersets are great for getting your heart rate up and burning fat. PM me if you would like me to help you pull together a routine. :)

Solid advice from wifey.

Problem is with compounds, altlhough they are amazing and nothing compares for packing on mass and getting lean, by default the form needed on them requires more study and attention, which is difficult if your 'new'.

I can spar in muay thai for an hour but i still wont be as out of breath as when i do 20 rep clean and presses.

Post up your diet (be honest, if you dont have a set list of foods and diet thats fine) and your training schedule including what lifts you do etc.

Also being the weight you were theres a solid possibilty there is some loose sagging skin left over which may be giving the illusion your belly etc is larger than it actually is.
