So i joined this gym and its loaded with equipment. Looks like some oldskool 1970 gym. Not a tredmill in the whole place, dumbells go up to 200lbs. Atlas stones, loaded carries, kegs up to 350lbs. Its awsome. My question is that im looking for info or websites/links even personal experiences. Im trying to make a routine thats a 50/50 split between bodybuilding and strongman. Got plenty of time to plan as i was out the gym for a month with a injury and im slowly working my way back in now. Probably about 2 weeks from being healed and ready for A new program. So anyone who trains for similar goals please share.

have you checked out josh bryants "built to the hilt" book it has all kinds of hybrid programs he also has several other books. I would def. check him out.

Incorporate bodybuilding style training into some of the assistance work. Use different variant for your barbell lifts that will carry over to any strongman lift.

Monday upper body
Wednesday lower body
Saturday strongman

Got this from one of Zach Even-esh books ages ago..it works
I might switch things up a little, but this is the main template I use

Another variation:

Monday squat & assistance
Wed deadlift & assistance
Saturday strongman

Currently was doing deadlifts back biceps forearm and finish with loaded carries

Chest and triceps (light) as i have a severely hyperextended elbow

Battle ropes light shoulders squats ham curls tire flips.

Elbow is getting worse so for the next few months im going to have to focus mainly on legs and just do light high rep stuff. Ive been getting pretty fat over the winter so i guess its time for some cardio too
