Need some suggestions!

the big g man

I have started recently using age force patches. I like them, but they are expensive and they leave redness and sometimes a little irritation after using them. I am just looking for SOMETHING/ANYTHING that will safely jack up my strength and testosterone. I am 45, and as far as I know, I do not have low test levels. The problem is that I take blood pressure meds. (metoprolol & enalapril), and have been for 4 years now. I tried something in the past. called "peak 247". Anybody ever hear of this? That too, was not cheap. Anybody have any suggestions?! I just want something to help me get past the 225lb bench I have been stuck at. Prohormones would be AWESOME, but they would mess with my blood pressure.

This is going to be a tricky one, as most anabolics will cause problems with blood pressure, and if you have hypertension or pre-hypertension, that is not something I would mess with. I would honestly suggest talking to your doctor and question him on the effects of TRT and your blood pressure. A regulated, monitored TRT dose would yeild gains, and at 45 you may be a good candidate. There are plenty of OTC supplements that can help raise/utilize free testosterone, but again I couldnt recommend anything because of the nature of your issue, and I dont have experience with that. I was pre-hypertensive at one point when I was much heavier, but after diet and training im pretty textbook normal. If you are obese, a smoker, or just have poor diet habits.. these things are all reversible with time. If not and you have a pre disposition with high blood pressure through heart disease or genetics, I would suggest talking to your doc. Also, any suggestions you get here I would also research and bring up to your doc, better to be safe than sorry. Hope this helps

why don't you post up your stats, diet and training schedule? some help/advice with these things will probably be all you need to make progress

I am 62 and use ageforce as well. For my money they are the best because they work. If you have any questions ref patch and bp ask Steve at ageforce. He is a good duide and will shoot you straight. Just an fyi I am a 7 time world powerlifting champion and would be glad to look at your routine. If you are looking for a certified trainer/coach/cheap give Coach wade johnson a look, I swear by him. If you have any questions contact me at [email protected] for quickest eply.

ok guys, to be honest, I am not really a bodybuilder so to say. I am just a 45 year old guy that likes to lift weights. I'm 5'5, 177lbs. My bodyfat is roughly like 22-23%. (my biggest thing that I battle with). I slacked off alot on the cardio in the last 6 months or so. Really trying to get more into cardio. I try to workout 4-5 x a week. my waist is a 37, chest is 45, arms are about 16 or 16 1/2. I benched 225 a few times back in October. (one time I put up 230lbs 2x). But, I was alot like 3 or 4 different supplements at the time. They got too expensive, and I was concerned about taking too many supplements that it would mess up the blood pressure. I tried something natural called "Peak 247" (347?), and that was also expensive. right now, i'm benching 205 max 3x. (trying to slowly get back up to 225 again). My goal is to get to like 250 or more. My diet is not the greatest, but not the worse either. If anything, my strongest bodypart is my arms (triceps). I do alot of tricep exercises. (LOVE THAT Stuff)Especially dips.Cable rows, etc. Worst bodypart my legs! ( I HATE TRAINING MY LEGS!) Only training I do for my legs is the cardio on the eliptical.

BigG, I'm 53, health is the most important thing in your life. In your posts you stated your diet is an issue, you hate training legs, waist is larger than acceptable, etc. Respectfully you are going to have to correct these now because it only gets harder as you age.

For now I wouldn't concentrate on supplements as nothing is going to provide a magic pill effect. Start by getting your diet in check by tracking macros and improving food choices. Research starting strength or some other proven training program in the training forum here on AM. Post up your lifting plans for comment. Then simply get after it! Stick to the diet and lifting plan.

You could also look in to a natural test booster such as Intimidate SRT or Tropinol XP (may even slightly lower your BP) instead of going the PH route, while they aren't nearly as potent they will serve to push you over the hump if you aren't going the route of TRT. As mentioned above though nothing will help if your diet and routine aren't in check.
