Need some help on gyno

Hi all,

move been suffering from gyno for around a year and a half now, it seems to be getting worse over time, doctors can’t determine what it is as all my blood tests are coming back normal expect my progesterone which is double the reference range, my SHBG is slightly over the reference range and so was my prolactin but that seems to fluctuate between in range and slightly over the range my DHT, T, E all within range.

I used to take Finasteride but I stopped that last year and I’m still having this issue, ironically my gynecomastia started AFTER I stopped finasteride.

Pituitary MRI showed no tumour
Liver tests all within range
Thyroid all within range

Doctors have no idea what’s wrong with me, no body does. Why am I having low T symptoms when my T is at normal range?

Things I have noticed:

I took DIM and Finasteride together which caused the breasts to swell

When I’ve started finasteride previously, the first 2 weeks I have a HIGH libido and feel normal but then it returns back to baseline.

When I take Tribulus my breasts feel a lot less sore and my libido comes back to some

Please advise? Any help would be appreciated. I’m really stuck.

It’s possible that your gyno has “grown in” to the point where it’s permanent without the aid of something like Nolvadex or Raloxifene. If that’s the case, then even within-range hormonal fluctuations could cause sensitivity at different times.

I think it’d also be worth trying to see if something like viagra helps. If it doesn’t, then the libido issue is very likely a hormone issue.

Do you have any hormone lab tests from when it was good before you started any of the drugs you mentioned? If you do, then maybe you’ll be able to talk with your doctor to get your body into those ranges again.

Where is your free T at? Having high and even out of the range SHBG will most likely have your free T very low.

Have you tried Ralox or Tamox for the gyno? Don't want to be disrcouraging, rather just honest, but it's very likely that at this point, surgery is the only way to get rid of the gyno.

Ok, well that's surprisingly high, considering the high SHBG. I would still try to lower the SHBG and prolactin myself. Tongat Ali and Boron could lower the SHBG. BLR Viron has both and CEL M-Test has both + other stuff, for example. SNS Inhibit-P could lower the prolactin.

I wonder what’s causing my symptoms then and high SHBG? I have higher than normal progesterone but normal estrogen yet still have breast sensitivity and pain.

I’m not too concerned about the gyno lump as such but what I am concerned about is the itchy and puffiness and the tenderness, if all that stopped I would be ok. When I get puffy nipples and tenderness my libido drops considerably.

Any insight??

since the other guy on finasteride had a simar complaint, I did some research on it. I found that some people do have long term side effects even after quitting.

maybe @Finasteridegyno can help

Cheers. That doesn’t explain upon restarting why for a couple of weeks libido returns to normal. Something at baseline seems to be an issue.

so you keep going back on finasteride? can you reduce the dose more before quitting?

you could also supplement to reduce prolactin and shbg while you recover.

No I don’t keep going back on it I’m just saying every time I’ve restarted that happens.

supplement to reduce SHBG? With what boron and longjack? There aren’t many things which lower SHBG. What about Tribulus and Longjack together?

Tribulus meh. TA/LJ, Boron, Stinging nettle, possibly Fadogia.

Tribulus not good? This is really odd but when I take Tribulus my breast sensitivity goes away. Stinging nettle also reduces DHT which I don’t want to be reducing right now…???

I know this problem is hormonal but it’s just shifting everything back to how it was is the question.

When I take Longjack/Tongkat the breast pain also goes away. When the supplements are stopped the pain comes back.

Well if you respond well to Trib, then why not. I don't think it's known to do else, than just raise libido a little for some users. You are correct, that stinging nettle has some anti DHT properties, at least on paper, so yeah maybe that's not the best choice for you.

Anyone know much about Viron from BLR?

It's pretty popular. Haven't used myself, but you should be able to find reviews and discussion on Supplement section and BLR's own section.

supposedly these can, but there might be better stuff out there that arent herbs
tribulus
avena sativa
nettle root

however isnt the shbg there because of the abundance of another hormone? is it binding to estrogen maybe? 6-oxo could kill the estrogens.

its hard to tell the difference between things that free testosterone from the globs rather than lowers shbg.

also a lot of people like inhibit-p from sns for prolactin

I find if I take rebirth or Letrone the gyno pain goes away but I think Letrone reduces me E too much as I end up with sore joints but I definitely think it’s an estrogen problem even though the blood tests who in range I think the ratio of E to T is a mismatch at the moment.

Is it true you can’t take B6 with Mucuna? Inhibit P has both so I’m a bit weary? And also it contains Vitex which I’ve read lowers Test so that’s the last thing I’d need to happen??
