Okay long story short I was on natty test boosters for about 3 months then jumped on a BOLD 200 cycle for 6 weeks then started Dymethazine for two weeks. I didn't take any supporting supplements, the past 5 days I noticed a decrease in the flow of my urine. I thought I'd let it pass in the past 2 days I noticed increase of frequency, dribbling and urine discoloration. I also noticed not as much relief after I urinate. Yesterday evening I got a prostate formula conisting of a bunch of common herbs to treat bph and I took an additional 1000mgs of Saw Palmetto today to assist. My flow of urine got stronger and I felt more relief again throughout the day but I cut back on my water and the past few hours I have been urinating more frequently and the color of my urine is now a yellowish orange and the past few times I felt some pain uriating. I wonder if the BPH caused a UTI. I do not have insurance so I can not see a doctor. I have stopped all hormones and went into PCT and staples in addition to the prostate formula please advise I am in desparate need of assistance.

If it hurts to pee, you might have a UTI like you said. OTC, i'd consider getting some cranberry extract pills or just drink as much pure cranberry juice as you can.

Does your pee smell very strong? UTIs usually make it smell pretty rough and also causes the dribbling effect you spoke of.

I'd keep the high dosed saw palmetto going and start with the cranberry juice to ideally combat the UTI (assuming it exists). Nettle root extract is also supposed to help out with prostate health.

UTI is a negative I took an OTC test and it didn't come up at all.

I'm on Prostate Health which has SP, Pygmeum, Pumpkin seed, green tea, and nettle root I'm taking double the dosage. Ive only been on for 26 hours so I hope everything subsides ASAP. I am also taking urinay health tabs which are cranberry extract and vit C. The last time I urinated it didn't give me any pain.

Good to hear.

Wow i didnt even know they had OTC UTI tests...

Bump anyone? Last night I was so restless because how much I was thinking about urinating. Like I had to take two tylenol PM just to fall asleep because it was so annoying I have been of the Steroid for 2 days now and been taking a prostate forumla and a high dose of Saw Palmetto I noticed som improvements yesterday during the day but towards the night I was going more often and less was coming out all night

Not trying to be homo - but look into milking the prostate. I think that's what doctor's do when older guys have prostate issues.

Helps improve blood flow in the prostate, I think.

I dont want to come off as a tool but... dude, get insurance. If you can afford to run all the sups you describe in the OP then you can afford the $50 a month for shitty insurance. Playing with these compounds puts us at risk for medical problems sometimes and its foolish to do it without at least some basic insurance in case something goes wrong.

this could also be related to a kidney problem but since you cant see an MD--- you cant get bloodwork for BUN/Creatinine which shows the health of the kidneys. Also PSA (the antigen for the prostate) is usually elevated when there are prostate issues.

go to an er and get some tests dude--- you can pay them later and explain to em about no insurance or a free clinic.

if I read correctly you are in Lancaster CA? drive down to LA--- there are clinics there-- I lived there 10 yrs.

dont mess with tylenol as well-------it will kill your liver!

g luck and dont put this aside--

they are correct go to the emergency room dont mess around here. In the meantime pick up some azo with cranberry it is an urinary tract analgesic. good luck!

So it sounds like you used an OTC dipstick to test for the presence of leukocytes/nitrites (what will be evident in the presence of a UTI)? What color is your urine?

OTC dipstick testing is not nearly as reliable as people think it is. The symptoms you've described of dysuria (painful urination) and frequency/urgency are something that need to be explored more thoroughly. It sounds like a UTI based on the symptoms that you've stated, but that's nothing but an educated subjective guess without a better histroy and physical by a health care practitoner.

You can go to any walk-in-clinic and have them run a urine analysis. This will demonstrate specific micro results for further evaluation. If it is indeed a UTI, you need to have it treated. Urine is more diagnostic than most people think. It tells you quite a bit actually. Letting something like a UTI go can evolve into a more significant problem such as pyelonephritis (kidney infection), but that's just an example here, not absolute.

I encourage you to drink PLENTY of water to flush out your urinary tract, as well as drink cranberry juice (It helps prevent bacteria from attaching to the walls of the urinary tract itself enabling them to be expelled through urination.)

My advice is to follow up with a health care provider (walk-in-clinic would be my suggestion) and get this more thoroughly evaluated. Remember, your health is important, don't put off something that concerns you like this even if you don't have insurance. Many places will do payment plans if you can't pay up front.

Some of the symptoms have subsided. I have reduced the amount of times urinating I have no more painful urination and after three days of taking saw palmetto most symptoms have stopped I am drinking a lot of water but in the morning my urine is very yellow throughout the day the more water I drink it gets almost perfectly clear and my urine stream flows a lot stronger. I still want to get tested to see if anything else is the matter. I have noticed some mild lower back pain which I see is also a symptom of UTI or BPH.

yeah you still want to go get tested try to find a free clinic or walk in clinic. If it is just a simple UTI a short course of anti-biotics will take care of it most likely. Ask the doc for bactrim ds or cipro both inexpensive (even without insurance should only cost you $4) and cover most common bugs that cause UTI's

Right right. I think its in my best interest. I just don't understand why are osme symptoms subsiding and the color of my urine still changing from clear to somewhat orange/yellow. If this is just a UTI I'm not as concerned because there are antibiotics but the burning and frequency has gone away along with the flow has improved. I'm taking cranberry pills hopefully that is helping but I still want to get tested.

increase water intake hop on cranberry extract and Green Tea extract

Along with your prostate blend and added saw palmetto add in Beta Sitosterol (its a natural 5aR inhibitor)

cut out some vitamin C incase you get kidney stones vitamin C can increase the chances in certain individuals.

hope this helps

yea but these symptoms although they may have gone away they are more likely to reoccur unless you go to the doctor and find out EXACTLY what it is.

a few hundred dollars here will potentially save you a few thousand for a small problem turning into a bigger one.

Even though some symptoms may have resolved, you definitely still need to have this evaluated. Urinary Tract Infections can remain despite what seems like symptom resolution.

Your urine will typically be more concentrated in the morning setting after a fasting state of sleep. The color of your urine can be a good indicator over the course of the day of your hydration status, so if the urine is clearing in color, you're on the right path.

The back pain makes me a bit more concerned as well. As i said before, UTI's can spread to the kidney (pyelonephritis) causing low back or flank pain. It could also be a completely unrelated symptom here, but it's worth investigating to be on the safe side. That's why having a good history and physical by a health care practitoner is paramount in the formulation of a diagnosis or differential diagnosis.

Definitely get this checked out, and good luck brother. :)

Exactly. Publix (food store/pharmacy) down here in florida gives a whole list of prescription abx for free. I know cipro is on the list. Bactrim is a great choice as well barring any sulfa antibiotic allergies.

See a urologist, it could be something that you dont want to play with.

I fully support that I assume you are in the States, dont you have anywhere you can go for free medical treatment. What happens if you have a road accident ? do they leave you on the roadside if you cannot pay for your treatment?

Right I understand what are all the possibilities at this point

Updates I'm going to the Dr's office on Thursday.

I slept good last night maybe only two trips to the bathroom which is normal for me. The only issues are the more yellow cloudy urine in the first part of the day which go away in the afternoon after drinking water. It started to get a little darker later until I drank more water. I also still notice a mild lower back pressure. I still wouldn't call it pain like a sorness. Other than that my flow is all but back to normal execpt maybe in the morning til' I get some water in me. I'm only on Reversitol/T-Bold for PCT and Nitrace as my preworkout. As for the prostate I'm taking a prostate formula and an extra 450mgs of SP. I hope to go close to as back as normal ASAP. I talked to a nurse and she couldn't really see anything really out of ordinary because the painful urination was once or twice and the more colored urine in the morning is normal as well. So well see what the doc. finds on Thursday hope everything looks good.

Good to hear. Seems like the bad symptoms are slowing down, let us know what the doc saysss

Too much information on bodily functions and why do i feel im Oprah Winfrey?

I'm in my mid-twenties and finasteride works wonders for me when I get prostate pain and/or frequent urination problems.

I would think your prostate sides should go away relatively fast if you stopped the cycle and started pct.

You mention dark urine which sounds like a kidney problem. I highly recommend 100% cranberry juice rather than the cranberry pills. Just like "food protein" vs. "supplement protein." The real food always works better.

You must read the ingredients, b/c most cranberry juice is mainly apple or grape juice. You can find 100% pure cranberry juice at Whole Foods / Wild Oats in the juice isle for about $6.00. It is extremely bitter, so I recommend mixing 4-6 ounces of juice with a big glass of water twice a day. This flow of "liquid cranberry" does a much better job than a pill IMO. I love it personally and I think it should be a part of anybody's diet who is on a high protein diet and takes supplements.

Good luck and hopefully your symptoms get better soon.
