Need ideas for 80's party

Hey guys I will be going to an 80's party in two weeks and I am looking for some ideas on stuff to wear. The party will be an outside pool party type thing. I am also looking for ideas for stuff my girlfriend can wear. So reps to anyone with good ideas. Thanks guys!

I personaly couldn't stand the time period. The days of BIG HAIR for guys and the girls. Spandex and the like. yech!!!!!!!!!!

You can always be crocket on Miami vice being that is next to a pool. no socks are needed, and closed sandals with a linen suit and pastel shirt would be great. AS for your girl, she could be any 80's chick witha long sweater as a dress, with belt, and some colorful eyeshadow. I GOT IT !!!

You be Scarface, and she could be Michelle Pfiefer (sp) look at any of the scenes on the beach or at their house, a poly suit is easy to find, and she could wear a thong, and be the envy of the party...

Check out an episode of Punky Brewster or something. Defintely peg your pants, layer your shirts, watch the Breakfast Club.

Metallica was 80's! :D So was Slayer and a bunch of other good bands :D I always liked showing up like a Slaytanic metalhead just to be surrounded by "hair metal"-esq 80's and stuff. :D
