NCAA Tourney

NC State makin a run! Wake did play terrible last night D59, Defense wins games. Gray looked terrible, big letdown. Like he didn't want to take a shot.

All the upsets suck but there have been some great games so far. It's amazing that the NCAA can have the best playoffs of any sport in March Madness and have the worst playoff system in sports with football's BCS bowl games.

Sure D, I'll sign up. Do you need any more? I have a general knowledge and keep up with a few from the NL, but I watch college bball and football religeously my bracket got tore up, so you never know what can happen. BTW D59, you wouldn't happen to live in Hollywood? By your location, I see EC Bev Hills and a pic of D Morgan. My sis is moving to the Pembroke Pines area, right next to Hollywood. Let me know if you need anymore though. Can't wait for UNC vs Nova, that game is going to be tight imo.

If I was a betting man ;), then my money would be on UNC, giving points and taking the moneyline. UNC is a better team with much more talent. In addtion, Sumpter is not going to play for Nova.
 
I'm still going for my school Texas Tech, but I think they will find some way to blow it this round against a weaker team than Gonzaga.
 
Louisville looked great tonite. Dean and Garcia are too tough to stop. As 2.5 pt favorites against a very good UW team, Louisville took care of business. Louisville will be in the final 4.

I was getting ready to post this Size. They really looked bad ass. Dean is awesome. That Arizona game was good, even though I only saw the last bit of it, wish I had the tourney package :frustrate. Can't wait for tomorrow.
 
the WV - TT game was great. WV are such overachievers - no athletes, all tired and banged up, somehow theyre in the elite 8. gotta love the tourney.
no match for Louisville as they are weak against the press as TT exposed. still they would put up a fight

I picked arizona and Illinois so Im good still what a game UA-OSU... salim is a mini iverson. this guy is a winner. they have several NBA bodies in that team - fry, shakoor... that foreign guy maybe too...

It was a hell of a game. 2 of my friends are in ~500th place overall - they may win it all if the final 2 are Louisville and UNC - with UNC winning.

TT - WVU was a great game, but I go to TT. I knew they wouldn't win because its school tradition. We always win the games no one has us picked to, and then the games when we have a good chance of winning we cant finish. Just like last night, I dunno what kind of shots we took in the last minute. lol
 
i don't understand how West Virginia puts it together, they lost today - but a great run.
 
Lets see some predictions up in here. I would really like to see a UNC vs Louisville final. But then again, I hate the Big 10 :D
 
Congrats are in order for yankees3! No matter what happens tomorrow night when UNC and Illinois face-off, he'll win our pool. The only person with Illinois is Grassroots, and even if they win, it won't give him enough points to do better than 3rd.

Illinois and UNC are easily the 'class' of the country. Why didn't I see that a few weeks ago?

B/c it is easy to pick the top two teams. But if you pick some other teams and they make it to the finals, then you like a genius.

Thank you. I really wanted to see a UNC - Louisville final but it should still be a great game.

(BTW - Yankees are winning 6 - 1 in the 6th. Get used to seeing this)

Weren't they also winning 3-0 at some point near the end of last season's playoffs?

:( Yeah, yeah I know. enjoy it now, because things will return to normal this year as the 9- 2whooping the sox got tonite shows.

Did anybody catch the Tenn-MSU game? MSU came back from 16 down in the 2nd half to win. Pretty good game. On the men's side, I wonder if UNC has a deep enough backcourt to deal with Illinois' guards. MSU had success pushing the ball upcourt on them and scoring on the break so I can definitely see Illinois giving them fits pushing the ball up the court and hitting 3's.

Sorry about that, but I'm a sports junkie. If its on espn or Foxsports, I'm watching it. I was just wondering if anybody saw the end of the game. I'd really rather discuss the UNC - ILL guard matchup. (Please don't ban me!!!!) :eek:
 
Well, I want UNC to win, but think UI is still a better basketball team. If both teams play well, it will be a great game. I like Felton in that matchup, but he has been getting alot of turnover's and getting in foul trouble lately.
 
I was upset to see MSU go down to UNC the way they did. They just fell apart in the 2nd half & the 'heels capitolized on it! I was just happy to see them get as far as they did. I picked Duke to beat MSU & UNC to beat Duke. But, I also picked ILL to beat UNC in the finals.


Too bad I'm on shift w/ a bunch of non-sports watchin' fewls!!! I'm gonna have to keep up w/ the game on ESPN.com :type:
 
Great game - from what I saw on the .com..... Would've liked to have seen ILL win, but hey, I've always had a thing for UNC too.. Back in the days of J.R. Reid..

Yes it was helluva tourney, I couldn't believe how dramatic some games were.

BTW, is it just me or were the refs making some horrible foul calls vs Illinois ?
 
One of my roommates is a huge Illinois fan, my other is a huge UNC fan. I am a Duke fan... it was a sad sad year, and many drinks will be bought by me for quite awhile. :sad:
