Nausea from Poseidon

I just took my first dose of Poseidon today. It consisted of 1 scoop mixed in 10 ounces of water. I sipped the mixture over a time span of a couple of minutes, and left home. I first noticed a pretty intense flush effect, which wasn't anything I couldn't handle, however the flush was also accompanied by some fairly strong nausea. It felt like I was on the verge of throwing up for about 5 minutes. Has there been any reports of nausea from previous users?

I also have another question. Would Poseidon be of use during times when alcohol is going to be consumed? I'll be attending a concert on Monday evening, and chances are better than not that I'll be ingesting a sizable amount of alcohol that evening, (mmm, rye and coke...), which as you can well imagine can tend to leave me with quite the hangover the following day. Would a serving of Poseidon before and after drinking be of use in avoiding the dreaded hangover the following day?

Haven't heard of any nausea from other users of Poseidon... your the first. Sounds like the niacin flush might have gotten to you a little bit. Try cutting the dosage in half and repeating exactly what you did above. Gradually work your way up to the standard dosing protocol and you should be good to go. As for the drinking, well Poseidon was formulated for enhanced hydration and users have expereinced a sever reduction in the post party head hurts, so it has it's uses for that reason, although that's not what we recommend it for.;)

I got a bit of nausea the first time and it sort of felt like I had a mild flu but after that it no longer does it to me.

I've had two half doses since the initial dose, and have experienced no ill effects, or flushing effect either. I'll likely go back to one full scoop tomorrow morning, and see how I react.

Good to hear max, looks like you just have to get use to the absorption capabilities of Poseidon. It hits you pretty fast which, if not use to it, could cause some nausea. Let us know how it goes for you.

I had one dose of nausea with Poseidon but that was my fault. I mixed 2 scoops in about 3/4cup of water, looking for that flush. Well I got the flush and a little more than I wanted. Maybe take a little more water with your dose until you find the sweet spot.

I used a full scoop again this morning, mixed in with 10-12 ounces of water, and experienced no nausea. I mixed in 1.5 grams of beta alanine as well. I did however experience a flush that made the one I felt yesterday feel like nothing in comparison. I walked into work with some seriously red ears, didn't get any comments from coworkers but felt a little silly nonetheless.

Hey Max Silver,

Glad to hear your finding a dosing protocol that works for you. The nausea you experienced I attribute to the detox effect Poseidon has...especially in the beginning. Flushing toxins from your system often times can leave you feeling a bit sluggish and/or nauseous. This does and will pass as it sounds like you are already experiencing. ;)

Poseidon is excellent at hangover prevention and replenishing essential nutrients lost while consuming alcohol. While we don't market it as a hangover cure...it's the best on the market, hands down, IMHO. Try one serving before and after drinking and then one again first thing in the morning. :drunk:

Mixing Poseidon with Beta Alanine will certainly give you one intense flush. If you find it's more than you want, simply increase the amount of water your mixing it in. The more water, the less intense the flush tends to be. I personally LOVE the flush I get from the combination and actually try and time it so I'm getting one just as I begin my workouts! lol!

Keep us posted on your results and thanks for your feedback.

Strangely enough I actually kind of enjoyed the flush I experienced this morning. I felt it very strongly in my legs of all places, which kind of surprised me. I've yet to workout yet using the product, but look forward to seeing what kind of benefits I feel from Poseidon.

I'm currently rehabbing a case of tendonosis in my shoulder, with prolotherapy being the current treatment I've been pursuing. After reading about Poseidon's ability to expand capillaries, I figured that it very well may be use in properly delivering nutrients to my injured shoulder. I've been utilizing a myriad of joint healing substances, such as cissus, celadrin, glucosamine, msm, etc., and Poseidon seemed like it could be a useful addition.

Uhoh, looks like you turned into a flush-o-holic to max. I agree that the flush is really more pleasure then pain to me nowadays, add the BA to the mix and it'll make for a wild ride(as you've already experienced of course) Update us when you've had a chance to try that stack with a workout, I'm interested to hear what you experience.

Haven't had any nausea.
Did have an ultra brutal niacin flush the first time though. Face, neck, torso, hands, legs, etc, all turned very red. I wonder if niacinamide might be a good substitution rather than the regular niacin?

Next round I cut it to half dose and chased it with the pre workout whey. No problem then.

Yeah try cutting the dose in half until your body adjust to the niacin then gradually work your way up to the standard protocol. As for the niacinamide, it's flushless... that's true but it also lacks all of the health benefits of nicotinic acid with the flush.
