Natty T's Bodybuilding Log

i'm nicely sore today. definitely got the good dom's working. i'll be working out this evening (planning on it) after i get off of work.

i'll also be on this thing all day if anyone wants to talk just pm me

it's more of a football training routine....

well today i had to mow my yard...well my mom and i mowed it...she rides the riding lawn mower, i use the push mower or the edger. well her mower kicked up a rock and sent into the space between my hair and my left eye...just about knocked me clean out...it hit me and i started wavoring then sat down. now i have a fantasticly sized purple welt hahaha....

jeeeeze now we both have war scars from mowing lawns!

i almost lost my left ringer finger and you almost lost your left eye!

dang that sucks, that almost happened to me a few weeks ago, but the rock just zoomed past me like a foot or so to my side, but I was still scared though...

haha it's all good.

Today: lower body...balance day?

Squats: 225 x 4 sets of 8 reps
One legged squats: body weight by 5 sets of 8 reps-these are really hard for me...i've always had bad balance and i'm finally doing something about it.
Bosu ball squats
Body weight...deadlifts? just bending down in the stance, holding it (like a linebacker) and standing back up
Leg press-10 plates x 4 sets of 8

over all it was a nice light day. the balance work made me break out in a sweat but...yeah...haha

Today: Chest.

Notes: starting next week i'll be going for 2 weeks of low weights high reps followed by 2 of medium weight medium reps then 2 weeks heavy weight low reps then i'll be maxing out. I may change this to three weeks per depending...

B.P.- 225x3 sets of 4 215x 1 set of 5 185x1 set of 6
Incline B.P. 135x 4 sets of 8
Skull Crushers-90 lbs x 4 sets of 8
front and side raises 4 sets of 8
bench dips 4 sets of 15-20
cable crossovers 60 lbs machine weight 8 sets of 8
did a 20 minute hiit session on the street...and done.

Good look natty...sounds like a solid plan in the upcoming weeks

You do realise creatine takes 2+ weeks to clear your system? I personally often forget to take it pre workout and notice no changes

Yesterday: legs

squats-355x2 bench squats. 335x2 bench squats, 315x4 bench squats, 315x8 regular squats, 315x6 regular squats, then 2 sets of 225x10 regular

lying leg curls-100 lbs x 4 sets of 8

leg press- 10 plates x 4 sets of 10. these were really easy i could have added weight but i instead tried to focus on really getting a burn.

front squats-185x 1 set of 15.

did some abs then went home and threw the football around with my dad...first time we've done that since i was in 6th grade....

i do have some bad news, lately my right knee has been acting up. it's hurting to push off with it or stand up...it's the one i hurt before and never got surgery on. if it gets worse i'll go see a doc.

Hey man i'm still here...sorry i aint been around in a coons age again just very very busy trying to get ready to leave in August...so much to do and so little time plus taking care of my family and makin sure they are good to go while i'm gone...I will be gone for a year....but will still post here while i'm at my new location...keep up the hard workouts bro but definitely take care of that knee...i dont know when i'll be back on again we'll see...but i am still going to the gym at night after work, i can't stop I'm an addict....lol oh by the way i have also been takin it kinda easy at the gym...doc told me to ease up on my shoulder...he figured i had a strained muscle....

Sorry to hear that. Going to a specialist would be a good idea. I hope things work out smoothly. All the best!

Man that rips!! I'd go see someone you trust about that knee. Hopefully, it's not too serious. I'm a poor person to give that kinda advice though, I push through waaaay too much stuff. Nursing some serious forearm pain right now on my left arm, kills me to do any close grip back stuff, especially T-bar rows, or flyes, or when it really hurts is flipping the dumbells to do shoulder or incline presses. I just got bummed and kept working through it because I was finally seeing gains, but now I realize it's going to need some down time. The pain is pretty bad right in the "pit" of my left forearm, if I have it in hte hammer position, it's about an inch in form the elbow. Hopefully, a doc can tell me what it is. Knowing how they've been to me lately, they'll more than likely say they need to amputate it.

Dang Natty, sorry to hear about the wheel. I def. recommend going to the doc and getting an mri to at least get an idea if there's a little chunk of meniscus moving around in there.

The thing about meniscus is that if it grinds around there in the joint it will make old age hell due to the worn down cartilage.

Good luck bro, meniscus surgery isn't super invasive most of the time for small tears should you eventually choose to have it and recovery time is not very long.

Also, I wanted to add: do it now before your parents' insurance coverage on you runs out. I used to enjoy full Boeing coverage from my dad; when it ran out I missed it bad...like 3 years without an acl bad.

hey guys sorry it's been so long. i've been working out still but i've not really had many hours to work and my only working home computer is 14 years old so i've not had the motivation to try to be as patient with it as i should be to load the site.

anyway here's what i did today:

b.p. 225 x 8, 225 x 6, 215 x 8, 185 x 8.
incline flyes: 45 x 8, 50 x 8, 50 x 8, 45 x 8
pec dec: 200 lbs (machine weight) x 3 sets of 8
cable crossovers (high) 70 lbs x 5 sets of 14
Over head tri press-90 lbs x 3 sets of 8
Bench dips- b.w. x 15, +45 plate x 15, b.w. x 15
side d.b. raises-40 x 8, 45 x 8, 50 x 10 (told myself if i got 10 good ones i wouldn't do another set)
front d.b. raises 50 x 3 sets of 8
reverse pec dec (rear delt) 200 lbs (machine weight) x 4 sets of 8

here's the notable things i've done in the past two weeks that i can remember:
bench press 245 x 8 (record since coming back)
leg press 995 lbs x 4 sets of 10
close grip t bar rows- 4 plates x 2 sets of 10
e.z. bar preacher curls- 140 pounds x 3 sets of 8

things that have changed. i decided to run a cycle of x-tren, got 4 days on it (only worked out once while on) and my hair was falling out and my buddies had already drastically started shrinking so i went into pct. pct has been cycle therapy and sustain alpha. while on x-tren i felt really cruddy and actually felt weaker in the gym so i attribute all my most recent jumps to the sustain alpha. (i way way way under rated this product, so far definitely worth the money)

ohhhhh and another huge change. we just found out i most likely have celiacs disease so i've been going glutten free for the last week and i've felt fantastic. no more bloating, no gas, no loose stools, no head aches(this is HUGE), no stomach cramps, memory has drastically improved, depression has started to subside, i've lost body fat and am noticably more defined.

Sorry bout the bad news Natty but happy for the positive things coming out of this glutten free stuff....

Man, that rips!! On the good note though, you found out the cause of your problems, so now you can start treating it. Don't get me wrong, that still rips, but at least it takes the stress out of guessing and worrying. We're all here for ya bud!!

I hear ya on the knee thing man...My left knee is always acting up...Especially now that I'm almost 35...To many years of heavy ATG squats. I wrap at 315 and above now for sure...I suggest you do the same.

Good luck my friend.

congrats on finding out what was going on...gluten free is a pain to deal with but much better than dealing with depression. glad to hear you are feeling better and your body is re-regulating itself to a more healthy state.

hey guys sorry it's been awhile since i've been on.

i'm trying to continue moving forward, i'm just losing the fight a bit right now. my mom's worried about getting laid off so i've gotten a few extra jobs to try to help pay the bills. anyone in texas want to drop by lonestar college, kirklands (stock room) or petco and give me a shout feel free. the amount of stuff i'm having to give up because of the gluten allergy is kicking my butt haha...still training every day though. i've lost alot of weight in the last few weeks, i'm currently at 251, 20 pounds off my last posted mark (i think).

anyway i hope ya'll are doing well. keep hittin it hard.

Hope you are doing good man. Work is punishing me but you sound even more busy than I am

Man, too bad about your mom's job security. I hope she's spared from layoffs.

I'm in the same spot as you; I get so worked on the jobsite all day I rarely am up to a workout and often don't have much time after I regain energy afterward.

Just keep working with the gluten thing and you'll get it dailed. Just be thankful they didn't say diabetes or crohn's disease. Those would pretty much shut you down from a lot of goals.

Cheers and take care bro!

I hear ya on the work thing buddy!! Sorry to hear about your situation, but at least your pushing through it!! Great to see ya back on again!!

YO Natty glad to see your still around Hope your mom gets spared....I feel ya on the working thing to I was on a backhoe all day yesterday...Then had to load a pickup bed and go dump the dirt at a landfill and at the landfill I had to unload it all by hand with shovels me and a buddy dumped the load of 6500lbs of dirt in 25 mins we were jobbin....wow what a work out my back is fried...:wave2:

Does any know how NattyTexan is doing?

Hey guys, sorry bout the long time away. I have no computer at home anymore the old fossil i had fried during a power outage and I finally left the school job so I really don't have computer access at all right now.

some updates.

i'm working 3 jobs right now and my gym closed down so i've not been doing pure bodybuilding. I have been lifting and moving and all that mumbo jumbo unloading 18 wheelers at a furniture store.

I don't know if I posted this a while back or not but I got diagnosed with celiac disease and have been gluten free since june 1st (that means no wheat, barley, rye, or oats)

I'm feeling pretty great all the head aches are gone my motivation is through the roof...it's the difference between night and day.

I hope all of ya'll are doing well and hitting it hard.

hey guys i should be able to get on here once a week or so but here are some more quick updates. i should be able to get back on tomorrow and answer the pm's and stop by ya'lls threads.

i'm down to 245 without losing strength and my bi's are bigger (that's a 30 lb. weight loss from june 1st) i've been using buckets filled with sand or water for things like curls and tri extensions...i've been doing a lot of push ups and dead lifts with the buckets. it's not mass building or all that great but right now it's what i have.
