Nattokinase to treat a blood clot over ibuprofen?

I have a blood clot in my right testicle vein. I’m currently taking 600mg ibuprofen from the doctor and was told to see if it’s dissolved on its own or if it gets any worse but I don’t like this plan too much tbh cause from what I have researched ibuprofen only slows down the blood clotting process and doesn’t actually help dissolve the clot or help it much at all for that matter.

However I was recently told about nattokinase and have been doing a lot of research on it. From what I’ve found nattokinase WILL help dissolve blood clots, does help thin your blood, and is pretty dang safe! Not to mention a slew of other benefits it provides that aren’t relevant to this particular issue im having.

I know some people will say “listen to your doctor” but my doctor doesn’t necessarily believe in the benefits of nattokinase (to this extent) and thinks it could be dangerous to take for this reason. Now I’m sure he probably knows better than I do but it’s really hard for me to ignore the studies/articles I’m reading online that say pretty much the opposite of what he says..

So! I’m wondering if anyone here has possibly ever treated a blood clot with nattokinase and noticed any benefits over ibuprofen. I know lots of people have used nattokinase to help “prevent” clots, but I’m looking for someone who maybe already had a clot and then started nattokinase if possible.

I believe even doctors make mistakes and sometimes medical professionals are “turned off” by the idea of natural medicines and I worry that’s the case here because he isn’t even listening what I have researched.

thanks for your help guys.

you'd think there would be a transdermal of some sort you could put on your balls to thin the blood

Is that sarcastic? :P
If you know of something like that I would be interested in knowing as well!
If not though I agree!
If you have a blood cloth it’s a pretty damn fucking serious condition. If I were you I would stop messing around on forums asking/taking whatever a forum joe said would work and I would listen to my doctor. You’re not a lab rat it’s your life we’re talking about here.

Agreed but if you don't trust your dr it's second opinion, from another doctor, time imo.

Nattokinase is amazing not just for blood viscosity and circulation, along with many other benefits. However, you should probably work with your doctor if you are dealing with health issues related to clots.

he got the diagnosis from a doctor I'm pretty sure. probably told him to take aspirin for the rest of his life.

get some fish oil and nattokinase

VERY few MDs are well informed on supplements. They use drugs and other OTC remedies because that is what they are trained on. MOST are NOT trained on supplements.

I would do what your MD suggests, but I would not be concerned about nattokinase. But - that is my thought about what I would do, not what you should do (something that I cannot make a recommendation on).

BTW - The current Life Extension Foundation magazine has a very interetsting article re deep vein thrombosis and the benefits of supplementing with nattokinase and pycnogenol (French maritime pine bark extract). They also offer a (rather expensive) product called VenoFlow. I take my own combination of those two supplements.

Someone on here mentioned Dante Trudel on Instagram, he’s big on the nattokinase. I started following him and started taking it recently as I’m on TRT and H&H are at the upper limits. I haven’t had any blood tests since I started, but o am seeing a noticeable change in my daily complexion. I was routinely getting flush/red in the face and neck, since starting the natto, I’m not looking flush at all.

Anecdotally, I’m looking and feeling healthier without noticing any sides.

^^^this!! I started taking Natto for my BP control, never thinking of how often my face would flush. Like, really hot and red!! I've been on it for probably around 6-8 months now and haven't had that flushing!
