I believe Nasonex is a topical catabolic steroid. It will reduce the swelling of the tissue inside your nose letting you breathe easier. Allergies cause the tissue inside your nose to swell, so these types of steroids are excellent for this purpose. It won't help you build any muscle, but it won't hurt you either. Now if you had to take Prednisone....well that's a whole notha story!
