I think the Joe is about the oldest arena left. Will miss the bounces off the dashers there.
New conference this year too. Made for TV change- lot less 10:30 PM starts for road games.

Yeah, it's about time we play some more O6 teams. I say they take the dashers out of the Joe and put them in the new arena.

Downtown D is gonna be a lot more fun (READ: SAFE) with everything within a mile of everything. No more treks into the ghetto...

not sure how many more linear weeks i have left in me, maybe 2, which would be triples w 220 for 4-5 sets. by wendler's formula that puts me at 241 in a couple weeks, which is 6 weeks from worlds. taking a week off, and a week for openers/maybe seconds leaves 4 weeks to do something with my bench. maybe program one month for 10 more pounds? i'd like to think i'd get 5 lbs from adrenaline, so that puts me right around 255ish.

shoulders are ok, right labrum sucks but the joint help should be kicking back in here in a couple days.

any way i add it up it comes to 1070-1080ish. :(
 
I was thinking today a short blast might be in order. I got some extra test laying around. BW is about 193-195ish on any given day...

felt a little twinge in my left lower back so i shut down the last set. i don't think it's anything, better safe than sorry. was a little quick on the last one, didn't get to where i wanted to be.

just like w my bench, i'm almost done w linear increases. i think i'm pretty close to 400, if not there. i might be able to squeeze 415-420 at worlds, maybe 425. i'm pretty happy being able to put together some semblance of a deadlift in about 3 months total. the only reason i'm able to do it is i never stopped training the squat. next week is deload week, i might just warmup and rip 360 or so off the floor. that would be my opener for 420, so i'll know a little more next week. something weird: i felt a little pulling in both my pecs the first set i did, a little uncomfortable. it went away fast so i just kept going. strange...

It appears I got down a little lower than last week, this one looks good. It's around what my opener will be, a true 85%. Bar speed was ok. Wanted a different camera angle, sorry for the junk close up.

Prolly warm up the shoulders weds and go for 230ish.

How many bags/boxes of processed crap can one buy? A LOT.
 
Update: the minor back tightness from deadlifting friday is still there. Flared up squatting Monday. I still don't think it's anything, but I'm prolly not going to deadlift Friday.

Late meeting today so bench will have to wait until tomorrow...
 
Had my kid work my back over w a tennis ball and did a bunch of rolling. Feels looser, will do this nightly for the foreseeable future.

not my best effort technically, but bar speed was ok. i think my eccentric was a little slow for no apparent reason. i'm open for suggestions gents, i'm guessing something around this should be my opener. i'm pretty sure i got 250-255, but 260 would be sweet. my back is still a little sore today, gonna roll it and have my kid mash it. she was enjoying working me over with the tennis ball a little too much last night!

You are correct sir. I'm really out of practice with the bench commands. The pause at the bottom needs work too.

That's awesome man and impressive to say the least. There was at least 6 ppl in the weight room, a bunch outside and on campus, and a sniper on the bridge 100 yards out. And that's just the ones I knew about lol.
 
Training week is kinda fck'd. Gym was closed yesterday - ghey, now with golf tonight it's gonna be weds, thurs, Friday.

On another note, I'm going to have a 12 hour layover in FCKING Amsterdam on the way back from Prague. Get there at 8 at night, leave at 8 in the morning. Oh man, this could be epic.

well, that little thing going on in my r lower erector is now officially something - i think it showed the 2nd rep today. back is a little sorer than usual right now, gonna roll it and tennis ball it here in a few. this is eerily similar to what happened to me about 3 months out from nationals - same fcking r lower back. this time though, there ain't no squat only, it's full power at worlds and i ain't taking a token dl. i'm going for a number. i think i might do some light rdl's friday to loosen up a bit, but that's about it. i figure my dl is right around 400 right now, i gotta figure out how to let it get some rest and still do something around 360 in a few weeks.
