What are common myths or misconceptions about training that may cause loss of progress or strength? Or anything in general that isn't true about lifting and bodybuilding.
The biggest bullshit I hear over the past few years is the minimal training ideas. Most focused around mentzer. His training style has been misunderstod and people don't realize this dude was doing six to eight warm-up sets before his working set and was on 2 G of deca and smoking crystal meth. 99.99999% of people will not be able to exert 1/4 of the effort. And then they push this because the average person wants to hear that I can do next to nothing three times a week and get jacked, and while the answer isn't more as always better for training, most people aren't even really training in the first place they're just going to the gym and doing exercise and that's why they don't grow they don't need more recovery, they need 10 times more intensity. The average person in the gym is under training and under eating
Usually, if done in a balanced manner between or after weight training sessions, some cardio can actually improve gains. The added cardiovascular fitness will allow you to recover faster between sets and tolerate more total volume in a session, as well as improve recovery time between sessions.

The “never miss a workout” mentality got me for a long time. If you're beat up, sleeping like garbage, and your numbers are dropping, taking a rest day isn't quitting.
