MyoSynergy Log

These days happen in equipment, man. How hard was it to touch 405 and 425? At least you know you can get 425 even on a horrible day, sounds like a perfect opener.

405 wasn't too bad. 425 was harder to touch. I was low on gas at that point and didn't stay as tight on the bottom. I cramped HARD on 405 in my QL and it effected my setup for 425. AC is pretty pissed and inflamed right now from that misload.

I'm still recomping. I've haven't been eating like I should this week since I've been packing and moving.

Have you been experiencing any heightened DOMS? I've been on it for a little over a week and have been getting some harsh DOMS today

The first 2-3 weeks left me with DOMS I haven't had in years. It levels off after that unless I do drop sets or really slow eccentrics. With my style of training, DOMS is pretty rare and it was refreshing to get some.

6/22

Yoke Bar Box Squat (plates per side)
2x5x2
2+25x3x1

Walking DB Lunges

Unilateral LP (pps)
3+25x15x2

Unilateral Hypers/Donkey Calf Raises/Ab Wheel
BWx15x2/400x15x2/BWx15x2

Quick deload session. Did what I needed to do to get some blood flowing without taxing my CNS. I wasn't really tired going into this day, but kept the gear at home so the temptation to ignore the plan wouldn't be there.

Wise to leave the gear at home. I know the feeling.

I'm itching to pull heavy right now, but weary of the callous not being fully healed. I'm slightly less than 6 weeks out right now and need to do it at least 1-2 times prior to the meet. Nothing above my opener (578#) and it's mainly to get more practice at ~90% in the suit with straps down. Those ****ers pop you off the floor when loaded properly.

6/24

OHP
135x10
145x10
155x7

T Bar
180x10x4

BB Curl/Side and Rear Laterals
85x10x2/30x10x2/30x10x2

Quick little session. Tried to do some chest presses, but AC is irritated today from me sleeping on it too much the past few days. I'll be doing some Graston and MFR this evening to alleviate some of the inflammation.

6/25

Sumo (double overhand)
315x3x6

BSS
BWx10x3

Rolling Hypers/Banded Sits (mini)
BW+25x15x3/30x3

Standing Cable Crunch
120x15x3

Did what I needed to do today. Hips are feeling good and mobile along with my knees and back feeling solid as well. I'm looking forward to squat on Sunday to get back to the heavy stuff after this deload, which is, let's be honest, pretty boring.

6/29

Squat
Worked up to 645x1

Ab Wheel
BWx15x3

I think I may have peaked too early. I've struggles the past few weeks with handling weights that are ~50# lighter than I was doing. I have 5 weeks to figure this all out.

This is the stage in the training cycle where you can't let the doubt creep in. Maybe plan an extra deload or try to manipulate something, but stay on your game, don't mind**** yourself.

There's less than 5 weeks until the week. I could go briefs only for 2 weeks, deload, and then hit my opener 6 days out.
