Child negligence is a stupid law. In va if you leave your 14 year old home alone for 2 hours, that's negligence
 
Nope, I'm from Indiana. If I messed up, I'd have to go out to the willow tree and pick my switch. Now, my parents and grandparents were responsible adults and never once did I think I was being "abused." More pain came from embarrassment and shame, than from physical harm. I never had marks like the photos that were just released. AP took it way too far.

Huh never heard a stick called a switch before. That's crazy about the pics.

My dad kicked my ass up the stairs once or twice but same as you it was nothing serious. I did have to eat a trowel full of dirt tho once after they found out I tricked my little sis into eating a piece of dirt ha.
 
Oh my bad I never knew he abused the child. And for when I was a kid I would get a belt spanking or soap in the mouth, though times, but I never thought of it as abuse
 
It doesn't look like the kid saw it as abuse here either, it was doctors who saw him at a check up after the fact. Granted that's just what I've gathered from the radio. Haven't gotten to see the pictures yet.

I can tell you one thing, as I was raised In a military family, and I'm glad my parents punished me when I was bad, because I could have easily fallen into the path of drugs and crime

I'm all for a little tough love but there's a line too. Kids need to get a whooping once in awhile when they're out of line but that's totally different from legit abuse. Haven't seen the pics but this sounds like that line was crossed

Lol. For real tho, it wouldn't surprise me if he get suspended for the rest of the season. After the whole Ray Rice stuff, the NFL will try to me an example of AP. Never a good time to beat your kid, but this is horrible horrible timing for him.

This has been months in the making though. Adrian says he regrets causing any harm, saying that is how hew was disciplined as a child in southern Texas

Just because you admit what you did was wrong, and attempt to justify it by some bassakward reasoning, doesn't make it any better. The dude hit his son with a stick so hard he had open wounds a week later.

im not saying it was okay, I'm just stating his point of view. As that's what the jury will be hearing
 
I hope people don't see AP as a violent guy. He didn't lose it when his child die. I think this was a mistake. Obviously he wanted to teach his son a lesson, just hit him once or twice too many.

Don't forget the HGH he was probably on when he "miraculously recovered" from his ligament damage. Him and John Cena probably share the same doctor. AP = integrity in my book...

I'm also in the market for a RB. I have lots of receivers, arguably 3 starters, but willing to let some other things go as well.

By the way, I'm having a hard time figuring out if I should start the Cards D or the Bucs

So much talent but I'm regrettably leaning towards agreeing with you. I don't think Cousins is the answer either. Just another saga in my sad Redskins fandom.
