My New TRT Protocol

For any of the guys familiar with my story of struggling to find a good TRT doc, well, finally got it resolved. So I've been prescribed:
80mg test cyp twice a week
250iu HCG twice a week
.5mg anastrozole twice a week
50mg DHEA daily

Anyone have any thoughts?

Just curious....why do you want to take HCG? Also have you had your pregnenolone and Vitamin D levels checked?

I've read about some benefits it has other than just keeping the boys big. I'll look up later what they are again.

I've but had my d levels checked in years but last time I figured it out I needed 5000iu to maintain good levels.
I haven't checked preg.

Unless you are planning on having kids in the future, HCG really isn't needed. It will cause you more problems in the long run. For one, it's hell trying to dial in your E2 levels while on HCG. Pregnenolone is a must. After your DHEA levels get up, you can dial back that daily amount. Just be sure you have your blood levels checked.

I agree with the other members comments. I would drop the HCG, as well as the AI. That's just me though - I don't think an AI is necessary on such a conservative dose of testosterone unless of course you become symptomatic. You're better off, health wise, without it if it isn't absolutely necessary.

I have to have an AI as well. I tried everything from DIM to zinc and couldn't get it down until I started an AI.

Have you been reading about HCG on this forum? Most guys don't take HCG. Why do you feel you need it?

I don't know if I feel i *need* it, but mainly the reason why I want to use it is activating the p450 enzyme or something to convert pregnenolone and such. kisaj mentioned it in another thread recently as well, but he also said it didn't pan out that way for him I believe.

I'm still learning, fwiw.

kisaj would be the first to tell you that HCG is more trouble than it's worth. Unless you're wanting to have kids, there's no need for it. It wrecks havoc on your E2. Taking oral or sublingual pregnenolone, DHEA and Vitamin D3 is all you need along with your test and AI if you need one.
