My First Competition Prep!!

The way you are here, I feel like you could rotate your upper body/core more and be able to display more width as the back elbow gets brought forward.

I am no posing coach, but that’s an easy trick that makes a huge difference in the size presentation on side chest. I know it’s called side chest, but you really want to show most of the chest lol.
I'll pose the way I like to do my side chest and post here. I really need all the help I can get.

Was analyzing my condition and posing from last week to this week. I see I have improved a bit on posing and I am getting leaner. Showing some separation. I am throwing in all the pics over here because I am not getting the time I need with the coach to go over my posing. I reached out to him a few times to help me with posing. He says, we'll do it, but it has never happened. Nationals qualification is coming up on 23rd Dec and if I qualify, competition is on 6th and 7th Jan. Not much time left. I should be posing everyday, and refining it. :(

Long story short. Need help. Please let me know where can I improve in my poses. I am not in a state to afford a posing coach right now. Else, I would have done it.

Pics on the left is today and on the right is, last week

For Abs and thighs, I liked the one the right. My legs looks like they are bigger. Plus, since my abs are that great, I think the one on the right shows it a bit better too.

Speaking very plainly, I think all of the newer poses on the left are indeed better. And I agree the abs on the right look better as well.

Just keep practicing daily, that way when you get to the stage it will feel natural. Don’t second guess yourself - confidence in your presentation is very important!

I qualified for Mr.India!!! I mean, I can't express how happy I am with this. Very first try in competition and got qualified for the most prestigious of all the stages in India. Competition is on Jan 7th and 8th. 7th is pre-judging and 8th will be finals, who ever is Top 10 in each weight category.

The selection panel shared some really good feedback and where I have to improve for the next 2 weeks. Will work towards that and see what happens..

Looking BIG Dude !!

Congratulations! Sounds like they basically just want you leaner still. Just stick fast to your diet the next 10 days and repeat!

100% you're right. I still have about 9-12lbs to lose in fat and water to get peeled. I am on zero carbs right now till peak weak and literally my body is in pain. Just tired all the time, but, I am still not leaving anything behind when it comes to training and cardio. Cardio is now 90mins fasted and 90mins anytime during the day on incline treadmill.

Hang in there and stay focused on the stage! You won’t regret it

Absolutely.. My eye is on the Gold. I have to win. I am doing everything I can. But, I am almost at the breaking point with people asking me "Why are you doing this to yourself" "Are you okay" "Don't workout so hard".. I am at my wits end, but, I still haven't snapped at anyone. Just keeping my head down and ignoring everything.

I had to be an asshole today. The gym owner is a retired BB and he understands. So, requested him to tell the staff to stop asking Am I okay and bother me during training or cardio. Today was much peaceful. No one spoke to me and I just worked. Felt really good.

I am almost ready to go. In a few hours I start my travel to the destination where competition is being held. It’s a 28hrs journey.

Water cut has begun and it sucks. I was on 6ltrs when I started peak week 3days ago. It was cut to 4 and yesterday 2. Today it’s going to be 1 with some Aldactone and Aquazide.

Death face has come in and I look dry and flat.

Wishing you the best! When in doubt, go easy on the diuretics. More isn’t better; better is better on the stage!

I was reading in the diuretics coach asked me to take. Looks like people generally take 75-100mg. I am doing 25mg. Today Aldactone is 50mg split 25mg AM and 25mg PM after last meal with 25mg Aquazide.

Good Luck My Friend!

Guys. I think my peak week snd carb loading has gone well. I am drier and can see my hams separating.. this is a huge competition. A total of about 130+ competitors. My weight category alone has around 22-25 competitors.

I’ll give my best to win.

I am competing at 70kgs (154lbs) weight category. And other guys are fuckn monsters with a lot of muscle and size. But, my plan is just to focus on my posing and showcase my body as best as I can.

Your hams really do look much more defined, and everything looks drier & full. Abs looking good too man, you can really see a great visual progress from the beginning photos in this log. Posing is better too.

Be proud of all your hard work, stick to the plan and enjoy the stage! Wishing you luck and fulfillment.

Thank you so much! I honestly feel proud now that I got here. We have 540 competitors fighting for the title.

Looking amazing. Very dry, but still maintaining that "3D" look you have. Very good genetics man and that back shot is killerrr 🔥

Thank you so much!! Gotten a bit more fuller and drier now.. quads feathered, triceps feathered.

I really hope I get at least a bronze. Even if I don’t, I won’t be disappointed.

True. I know I have given everything to this prep and will continue. Even if I don’t place this year, next year will be mine. I’ll work harder smarter and be bigger.

Thank you

Where'd you start at in weight before cutting down?

And your midsection will definitely be in your favor, combined with wide lats and good lower quad development helps give you a nice X frame look.

You look confident and like you're having a great time. Keep it up; you look like you were made to be on that stage and you know it!

Late to the party as I haven’t been on much but INCREDIBLE JOB!!! Good to see you back!!

Guys and the Lady (so glad to have Kat here)

So, I did my best on stage. But, didn’t place. In my weight class, there were 52 competitors and I was the only novice. I am just truly honored to be part of the stage (which everyone kept reminding me about ). I was most definitely outsized by mass and muscle maturity. I had much better shape than most of them. But unfortunately that’s not the game we play, right.

I have my regional show coming up on Feb 19th and state show on 21st, which I am confident to beat my competition.

Overall, I was very pleased with how dry I was on stage and how I posed.

These pics were taken about 90mins before stepping on stage. Got a bit drier and posed better too.

Shape IS part of the game you must play! Size and maturity inherently take time, and you have made great strides in a short time, in the scheme of things. Just keep working on steadily adding quality lean mass without blowing your waist up.

Absolutely.. that’s the plan.. I restart on Monday, fresh and ready to win the regionals and try to win state.

INCREDIBLE !!

I’ll post some stage shots when I get them. I know I looked better than the pics I shared here.
