My bloodwork

Hi, I'm sorry to dissappoint you all, but this is not bloodwork before/after any of the new oral compounds of lately. It's just the first time I had blood drawn and wanted to hear you guys' comments on it.

My doctor said everything seemed normal, except my red blood cell count was a bit high. What could be the cause of this? Is it necessary to try to get this down?

Note: I finished a 4-week M1T cycle on 07/17 and finished PCT on 08/07. Blood was drawn on 10/10.

I know my total cholesterol is a bit high too, and esp. LDL.

I scanned the document and didn't really feel like typing it all over and translating it, most of the terms are pretty alike in english I think :)

Some translations:
  • rode bloedcellen = red blood cells
  • wiite bloedcellen = white blood cells
  • 1 uur = 1 hour
  • nier = kidney
  • zuur = acid
  • lever = liver
  • gal = bile
  • vet = fat
  • risico = risk
  • eiwit = protein
  • schildklier = thyroid

That's a pretty comprehensive panel. Why did your doc do a CBC + Sed Rate?

AAS stimulate red blood cell production, that's normal. It will go down on it's own.

I'd be concerned about your liver and kidney health though. Your doctor didn't mention anything about your ALT and Creatinine? Did they test protein, sodium, potassium, chloride, and calcium?

Do you have blood work from anytime before? Or a history of high liver and kidney values?

The liver values should continue to come down on their own. That's also pretty typical after M1T.

If that were my blood work, I would not use M1T anymore and instead use something less harsh. Your liver will regenerate, but your kidneys won't, (not saying you do in fact have damage, but it's possible).

I'm not an expert, so take my comments with a grain of salt.

Oh yeah, and that LDL is a concern as well, but again, typical. Avoid trans fat, sat fat, and increase cardio.

I add the same disclaimer as above, i am not an expert either.
Increase Hct & Hgb could be from dehydration, living in high altitude or AAS like stated above.
What would concern me is the elevated ALT along with the elevated lymphocytes & decreased neutrophils. Could be an indicator of infection with just the lymphs & neutr. but with the ALT elevated it could possibly be inflammation/infection in the liver (hepatitis). The elevated creatinine is also of concern but could just be from excessive cellular breakdown from rigorous exercise.
Follow up with MD because to reiterate, I don't know ****.

I don't know, I just asked for kidney/liver/thyroid/cholesterol/hormones tests, the other things are 'standard' I guess. It is the first time I had blood drawn.

Ok, I didn't know all AAS stimulated it like that, I thought only EQ was known for this.

Those (Na, K, Cl, Ca) were not tested as far as I know, else the results would've been on the lab report. Protein was tested though, its within range. (totaal eiwit = total protein -> 7.6 g/dl (6.4 - 8.3)).
At the time of the bloodwork I was using creatine (started with PCT) though, wouldn't that explain the high creatinine levels?
I'm also worried about the ALT, the only reason I can think of my doc didnt mention it as a concern is because he knows I used an oral hormone that was very harsh on the liver, and maybe because the AST is within range.

Nope, first time I had blood drawn. Ii'm gonna have it drawn again in a couple of months to see how my values recovered (hopefully).

If that were my blood work, I would not use M1T anymore and instead use something less harsh. Your liver will regenerate, but your kidneys won't, (not saying you do in fact have damage, but it's possible).

Ok, thanks alot for your contribution. I'm bulking right now and trying to keep it clean. I use 2-3 table spoons of flax oil and 3 fish oil caps daily. Maybe I'll take one serving of sesathin too, from now on.

Yeah thats what my doc told me too, I dont live at high altitude and I drink a gallon of water each day.

Heh ok.. really wondering why my doc didnt mention anything about those now..

Ok

I'm not sure. I've had bloodwork done many times while on creatine and it's never ever been elevated.

The elevated ALT sticks out to me. The elevated lymphocytes are not unusual for a post M1T result, but combined with the high ALT may indicate drug induced hepatitis. That should clear up in another month or so if that is the case. The high ceatinine is not abnormal for weight lifters. Mine is high almost every time no matter what I'm on. Creatine supps do it of course, and orals do it too. The high RBC's is a good thing. Just stay hydrated and consider taking an aspirin a day to play it safe in the meantime. Anadrol jacks my RBC's like that every time, as does SD, EQ and many others to some degree.

Keep me posted. If you develop symptoms of liver stress (fatigue, skin discoloration, itching, anything strange) and let me know if you get any follow-up bloodwork results.
