I am too. But the research on this is pretty sparce and usually funded by the companies that make it. I see, depending on the source, it being either 12x, 500x, or 1000x stronger of an antioxidant that vitamin E, but you're only taking 4-12mg astaxanthin vs like easily 200mg vitamin E in many products. And Vitamin C again is usually a 500mg or 1 gram pill.
What I like is caretenoids have promise for skin health, and that promise is that makes me keep coming back for more.
not tude. ludes...if i had that many supps in pantry my wife would definitely need a lude.I was thinking the same thingIf I spent and had that many supps in the pantry she would get a tude for sure!

I tried taking this several months ago and found it messed with my vision too much. After a few days I stopped taking it.I am too. Genius! That's true! You just have to spread them all over the place and not put them all together and then it doesn't look like you as many![]()
My reason is bioavailability and competition. Some minerals compete with each other for the same carrier in the blood. For instance calcium and magnesium, or zinc and copper. They have the same carrier so if you take them together you either absorb one better than the other or neither well.I see lots of individual vitamins in these lists. What's the advantage of doing them individually instead of taking a multivitamin like Centrum or One-A-Day?

That's another one that has sketchy foundations. "...shown to slow prostate tumor growth", “30% Decrease in Arterial Plaque," “Promotes Healthy Blood Vessels” ...
So do you stick with regular quercitin and not quercetin phytosome, what dose? The best deal I'm seeing is Toniq's at 1g a serving. What brand do you like? My wife has pretty bad allergies. Maybe I can get her to try this too.I take it because it's fairly cheap ($9/month), I've abused my liver and I hope it helps with that but I can't say it conclusively does. And a few companies have special phospholipidized or nanoparticalized formulas I wouldn't recommend but otherwise no one really has much to gain or lose over quercetin. It's commonly found in most fruit.
What I can personally feel is it's anti-histamine effect, so if you have allergies it's a good thing. People say it has anti-inflammatory properties but I don't feel that, at least nothing like fish oil or curcumin. And then there's a whole lot of research on it lowering blood pressure, fighting covid, killing cancer and reversing aging and while that stuff is promising (especially blood pressure) is not conclusive. It also lowers DHT in a similar way as finasteride.
It needs fat to absorb in the GI tract, so I take it on an empty stomach with fish oil. It has a synergistic effect with vitamin C, so I take a gram of extended release vitamin c with it. I also take some "citrus bioflavenoids" with it that includes hesperidan, rutin, etc. Hope this info helps![]()
I could see this backfiring.
“You have some in this room too?!?”

22 years and 7 months, my friend!!!Glad that statement has a "when" in it and not presently!
That's another one that has sketchy foundations. Pom Wonderful took this inexpensive fruit abundant in South America (and other places) that no one was eating in the US, started a pomegranate farm in California, and marketed it to be a superfruit that cured medical conditions. They spent millions of dollars on biased research and made all kinds of claims regarding "Prostate Cancer", "Erectile Dysfunction", "Reducing LDL cholesterol", "promote(ing) a healthy heart and prostate", "reduce(ing) the length and severity of colds", "...shown to slow prostate tumor growth", “30% Decrease in Arterial Plaque," “Promotes Healthy Blood Vessels” ... that went overboard so badly that the FDA had to step in and stop them. The courts agreed with the FDA. Looking back in hindsight with 20/20 vision it hasn't been shown to do anything for anything. In fact antioxidants in general haven't turned out to be what was hoped. But they did introduce a cool fruit to the US market.
Resveratrol has followed a similar path though it's downfall has been much more recent, involving negative studies not the courts, and it still has some supporters.
I'm now taking Astaxanthin. I read it's got lots of awesome benefits and is one of the most powerful antioxidants you can take.

I dunno about you but I don't come here to make friends with anonymous internet board handles. I would see no benefit from that. I come for the discussion and to share knowledge. And the person who brought it up thanked me for my info. I wouldn't say pomegranite extract is a popular supplement. The owner of Pom Wonderful also owns Fiji water and that's where most of his revenue comes from nowadays. Pom Wonderful actually stopped making the PomX supplements. You go away. Shoo! You're annoying me.
this is in Kirkland krill oil (all krill oil maybe?)
hardcore shyt right thurI like water, daily, on the rocks or straight up.
lol...when i saw celery seed it made me think of peter north saying eating celery was responsible for shooting big loadsGlaxon just put out a new supplement called NAD+ Synergy. It has Quercetin Dihydrate in it. I might have to look into this in a few years as I get into my mid 40s. If it's Glaxon, you know it's a hefty price though.
