Muscle pull.

Hi all

I have torn my muscle, vastus medialis (quad muscle). It has been like it for 3-4 months with no sign of getting better.

Background: I'm from the UK and gone from wanting to bodybuild to an ultra runner of 62miles plus in one go, hence no posts for a few years.

What I'm seeking is, if anyone know of any supplements (natural, sarms or prohormones) that can help with muscle repair fast? I'm currently waiting for further physio assessment before I receive cortisone injection. I have been advised this could take another couple of months due to delays in healthcare.

I am currently taking good quality tumeric capsules from British supplements and generic hyaluronic acid supplement to see if will help but no luck yet .

I have also been taking diclofenac but this has only taken the edge off when walking.

TIA

I would look into the healing peptides BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-CU.

Peptides can help, but at the end of the day - only proper rehab is going to fix this.
If you have been rehabbing this for 3-4 months, it should be all better. Not "no improvement".
I am not getting the feeling like your doing what you need to do to resolve this.
I mean are you even sure its a quad tear? Maybe the tendon(s) is a bit torn or not just tracking right etc... etc..
Instead of waiting months to talk to a physio person who may or may not be able to help you, why don't you talk to some athletes at your gym (powerlifters if possible) who have torn their quads / have experience with the symptoms you have and get their take and find out what they did. This will very most likely get you further than a physio person. I say this with over 30 years of powerlifting and tearing a quad at least once every couple of years not to mention all kinds of other injuries that can "appear" like a quad tear. Good luck.

Any prohormone should help, not sure it’s what I’d recommend tho.
Why would a prohormone heal a torn muscle?

And I'd love a peptide sale but I don't think that's
If it's been 3-4 months then I'd imagine its "healed" but something else is torn or injured that's not a muscle.

Regardless, 3-4 months with a injury like this needs a REAL DOCTOR. Not internet healing suggestions.

Why would a prohormone heal a torn muscle?

Any androgen will increase protein synthesis. Workouts cause muscle tears and if you use juice you’ll notice way less doms, faster recovery etc.

I don’t know about the peptides, most of those are to treat tendon, ligaments, etc whereas androgens are much more effective for muscle repair.

If someone wants to compare, they could run a high volume, high intensity squat workout program and compare how well muscles recuperate on steroids vs peptides.

all the same this guy should see a physio and forget about supp til then.

I was kinda being sarcastic because using a prohormone to heal a injury is kinda foolish. Especially for someone who likes to train because your gonna train harder on gear and probably gonna make it worse

That stuff might Sounds good on paper but in a real world situation, "this specific situation" it's not happening. There's a big difference between recovering and growing a trained muscle and healing a 4 month old injury. There's even a big difference between healing a new injury and a old injury. A prohormone or steroid is definitely not the tool for the job here

That’s the thing, we are actually in agreement here. Nobody should try any supplement IMO without having diagnosed the injury. Could be anything IME.

Ditto - see a specialist.
