movies suggestions

Now that football is over except for super sunday, this is the time of year I try to watch some movies that have come out ove the last year.
so far I have seen:

The illusionist
the prestige
the departed

I want to see 300

Anything else worth catching that came out this past year?
thanks for being my critic!

"We Own The Night" was great IMO, and I thought "The Good Shepard" is probably one of the greatest of all time.

The Prestige would be my choice of what you have listed.

Another option is Perfume: The Story of a Murderer or Pan's Labyrinth. These two are different styles of movies then the typical popular movie.

Almost any Guillermo del Toro movie is a good choice. The Devil's Backbone is fantastic.

You MUST see '300'
'Pan's Labyrinth' was amazing.
'The Departed' I caught it on HBO one evening. I don't have TiVo and I had to piss with like 2 hours to go. Most intense hour of my life (think about it :) ).
'I am Legend' - read the book.
'Live Free or Die Hard' was just fun. Much better at home and unrated instead of the PG13 nonsense the theater carried.

Perfume - Was good in a weird I've never kind of seen this in a movie before

Cashback - From England quite interesting and entertaining

Zodiac - Because it just shows you there are some really f'd up people out there

yeah, anything with Robert Downey Junior is great. Speaking of, watch "A Scanner Darkly" - Brilliant!!

I forgot about that one. That movie was so awsome. Talk about a mindfvck. The cell shading technique was used so artfully in the film. It made the movie so much more seamless and allowed them to do so much more with their hallucinations without anyone yelling 'bad CG' the whole way through.

While we're talking Philip K D!ck, pick up the new Bladerunner directors cut. If for nothing else than to see that masterpiece again.

Apocolypto...not sure when it came out but was awesome it is subtitled though.
American Ganster- Just badass Denzel
SuperBad- funny as hell
Knocked Up- Also hilarious

Mr Brooks
Blood Diamond
3:10 to Yuma
V for Vendetta (older but a must see)

3:10 to Yuma was one of my favorites of 07. Transformers was fun. Hot Fuzz was entertaining. Damon was good once again in Bourne Ultimatum.

I'm dying to see the following as I've heard they're all amazing:
No Country for Old Men
There Will be Blood
Rise of the Foot Soldier

...Oh, and The Departed came out in 2006 fellas.

My favorites are mutiple plot strand thrillers...out of the box fantasy.
Based on your comments here, I think you would enjoy both Perfume and Pan's Labyrinth. Pan's Labyrinth is an amazing movie, I recommend it to everyone. I rather enjoyed Perfume but I can see how some may find it quite odd.

I just watched "The Bucket List" last night, it's a little bit of comedy, a little about life, I enjoyed it a lot.
