Motorola Razr cellphone?

Does anyone here own one? I saw one today and liked what I saw but would like to get some feedback on it before I make the commitment.

Anyone have anything good to say about it? Bad?Invalid Link Removed

Thanks

The good: survived a run through the washing machine (left in a pocket). super small, battery life is great, and always gets a response from others

The bad: static, the software sucks (can only search names by one letter, etc), its so damn small i can never find it, and always gets a response from others :)

I only recommend if small size and appearance are very important to you.

Damn, only search names by one letter!?!? What's up with that? Other than that what other software problems are falling short on this one?

But as far as appearance, I'd have to say "YEAH" appearance is mucho importante to me :)

I gotta Motorola E815 en route from Verizon, along with new service with V-CAST. Can anybody tell me how to get streaming porn on my phone?:box:

Doubt the streaming, without paying one of the new companies for that... but IM SURE you can just upload a small video.. and relax on the throne at work, and help yourself.

software sucks, bluetooth is badly crippled, durability is plain bad. (nobody will insure this phone)

theres a new version coming out in a few months that will hopefully fix the issues with it

the new e815 is everything the razr should be, except for the looks

Never had or used Bluetooth. What about it is everyone giving it the thumbs down for?

i've had my razr since june 2005. i got it at an amazing price when i switched from sprint to cingular.

pros: great looking phone, really tiny, draws attention if you're looking for that kind of phone.

cons: reception is poor. my sanyo 8100 and 8200 had much better reception. same old motorola gui on the phone-not very pretty. gets static interferences sometimes.

i'm gonna make the most use out of this phone for now, but would def. like to upgrade to a much better phone soon-one that is more for functionality than looks.

i'll sell you mind if you want it :D

depends what you loof dor in a phone. say what you need and prioirities: style and size, inteface, usability, protocol support like 3G, bluetooth etc

I have the SE Z800i still to early to give feedback. he is a little bif but he is the smallest 3G phone available

:woohoo:

Now if only Verizon could so kindly process my order. I placed it 6 days ago now and it still hasn't shipped.:trout:

I cant stand motorolas software. the **** is so slow i can type half a text message before it even comes up on the screen.

i cant wait till january so i can get a different service and a new phone. I dont even get service in my house with cingular

I've had my Razr for about a year and I really like it. Reception is great around where I live and it is pretty durable (survived a few nasty falls on concrete.) But the software is kinda slow, theres a half second delay whenever you select something.

I keep hearing this also. Haven't really heard that much good about the thing. It does look rad though..lol.

I've had mine since April.

Reliability is ok; it has a few glitches now and again... but I've never had a phone that didnt.

Looks good; has a great weight to it; very easy to use and navigate. Buttons are very solid and have a great feel to them. My reception is fine; better than several of my friend's phones. It fits into a pocket perfectly and has all the features on it that I want. It also takes really good pictures.

Cons are everyone has them now because they are affordable to cheapasses and the battery life isnt so great. And they ARE insurable now since the price has come down so much. Before, they werent insurable because it was a $500 phone... before I got my RAZR, I had a MPX220 and it wasnt insurable either. Whoever claims its a 'crappy' phone is just jealous ;)

The Nokia N91 is the new phone to get now. Who gives a **** about the E815.

If you watch movies or other **** on your phone; you've got a fucking problem IMO.... get a damn life. An MP3 player combo on the other hand or a PDA-phone are both practical IMO. The N91 has both functions plus a wifi 11G card. The price is great too... its expensive to the point where most people cant easily afford it but not too outrageous (just like the RAZR was when it first came out)

I have one and really like it, I live in the sticks and I have gotten better reception with it than 2 other motorolas and 1 LG.

i just got the razor and have noticed the software is a bit slow....there's definitely a delay between pressing a key and seeing the response on the screen....also the user's manual is not very detailed IMO....they leave some stuff out that they just assume people would know....but i'm not good with computers so it's a bit frustrating.....does anyone know how to work the e-mail, i tried to send someone an e-mail and it say's it can't b/c the setup is incomplete or some **** like that....it's pissing me off too...oh MMS and e-mail is included in my plan

While we're talking about cell phones is there any feedback on the Blackberry made by RIM? I'm also looking at the ROKR with iTunes made by Motorola. Any feedback there?
