I have had really successful cuts in the past and I'm right at that point where it's easy to maintain but the make or break takes some pushing. I've cut down from winter bulk/power lifting weight of 190 to a consistent 178. I keep thinking about attempting a more intense stack with fat burners etc but I don't really need an appetite suppressant because I'm eating consistently and avoiding the over hunger - leading to binge snacking.

Someone give me some inspiration to knock off 5 more lbs. Tell me I'm being a crybaby or something, lol.

I know you guys have been here. I need to just dig in my heels and grind through a few more and then I know it will be the difference. I've done BF tests in many ways so I know looking in the mirror I'm probably between 10-14% (hard to say because abs are popping nice when I'm a little drier). I just want to get down to that consistent sub 10% and maybe even 8% if possible again. (at least for summer, then maintain around 10% until winter vacation).

I put this here instead of training or weight loss because I just feel it's more about all around gymrat lifestyle, discipline, motivation, and inspiring each other.

Well, motivation is such a gimmicky word imo. But one thing that maybe can help out is this.

If, when you look in the mirror you dont see the perfect version of yourself, you better see the hardest working version of yourself.

Awesome, well put! It is a gimmicky word, especially with the whole weird fitspo thing that's trended over the past few years on social media. My two best lifting buddies at my gym have bailed and moved to other gyms because this one didn't push them enough. One is a successful power lifter and she's now landed herself on a very esteemed team, setting killer PR's. the other is competing in physique and power lifting. Our gym is great, but it lacked the hardcore vibe and I think I'm the only one left sweating 10lbs and accidentally spitting on the mirror during those hard reps, lol. I gotta put in the work and grind it.

@jinxie tagging you

i'm a huge fan of 80s pornstar christy canyon...in her book she said when she needed to lose weight she would sit naked in front of a mirror when she ate.

Well, I’m not sure you need to lose more weight, but if you’re determined to get that body fat to sub 10%, while maintaining strength, you may want to consider an AI (or upping the dose), though with that joint pain often follows, which can be self defeating. Also consider boron, as discussed in my log, which decreases e2 and SHBG.

In terms of motivation, I feel you as I now workout exclusively at home with my wife. In the beginning, motivation was a real chore for me. Best thing for me, is to track progress, including photos. Seeing the small changes def motivates me to keep reaching for my goals.

If at the gym, maybe you can find a new squad with similar goals, for some friendly competition. Of course, you can also come here for that, as well as support.

Not sure that’s helpful, but I hope so.

Looking good, man.

You need to motivate yourself, it's the only way to do things you don't to do. Give yourself a target or a goal or deadline and commit.

One way I get myself out of a rut when I'm not motivated is to start doing every single thing I don't like doing. Usually all the things I don't like doing are the most important.

Now stop being a bitch and get moving!
