So I usually try to avoid food that would be considered empty calories like ice cream.
Now with that said what are some foods that are packed with calories you guys eat when your bulking?

I don't think ice cream should be considered an "empty calorie" food. It isn't the best choice nutritionally, but if you are struggling to gain weight then it wouldn't be a bad choice to get more calories in. I would probably suggest a lower fat ice cream, but if it fits in your macros then go for it.

My go-to's for dense foods are PB, walnuts, potatoes, and homemade chilli. These are all easy ways to get in an extra 500-600 calories without even trying

Lee Priest (who obviously had a whole lot of chemical help) was notorious for eating anything, including ice cream, during a bulk. I tend to favor almond and peanut butter. Avocados are great too.

Lee Priest. That dude is entertaining. I love his videos, and he doesn't hold anything back.

I haven't really followed what he's been up to since like the 90s-early 2000s, but need to catch up. His off season physique was huge and he just didn't give a ****. Then he went and got a face tattoo and really didn't give a **** lol.

I was actually just reading about this.

Whole milk, olive oil, nuts, tuna, honey, raisins, honey, and fruit juice are all solid options.

Lol you must like honey, listed it twice. Definitely need to start drinking more milk
Check out fairlife milk. Its $4 for a half gallon but has double the protein and calcium of regular milk and the lactose is removed so you dont crap your pants when drinking a half gallon a day. The chocolate version is great and has half the suger of regular whole milk

Will do. Thanks

1.) Beans. All kind of beans. With smoked pork or minced meat.
2.) Oats, with nuts and dried fruit.

most calorie dense will always be oils... as far as actual foods, things like organ meats and fatty cuts. Nut butters as well... the common thread: high fat foods ha.

I think you are confusing calorie dense and nutrient dense.

Your thread title is most calorie dense foods, which would include ice cream; it has a lot of calories in a serving. Nutrient dense foods are foods that do not have empty calories and provide one with lots of vitamins, minerals, fiber, etc.

For calorie dense foods, fat sources will be the best option. As mentioned, oils are high in calories and lots can be consumed before feeling full. Nuts and nut butters are a second choice. A serving of nuts (200 cals) is about a handful. That is not a lot at all. If you ever measure out a serving of peanut butter, you would be surprised how small it is. Those are good foods to pack in calories.

For carbs, pasta and oatmeal have a pretty good amount of calories per serving.

For protein sources, go with fattier cuts of meat or meats with the skin. Think of chicken thighs. Not only do they have more calories, but they taste great.

Some people prefer "dirtier" foods such as ice cream when bulking because some do not have a great appetite and need high calorie foods so they do not become too full. Additionally, some people have really high caloric demands.

What's your favorite nutrient dense foods ( high micro-nutrients) ?
