What do you peeps do to stop getting eaten alive during the spring/summer/fall while lifting in your garage gyms with the door open? I live in NC so keeping the door closed during 80+deg/75+%humidity days will not work for me. Got any ideas?

If we're going in that direction, I'd recommend the Bug-A-Salt. Way more fun than the tennis racket zapper.

You can purchase Ultrasonic modules that will repel most pests. Inside your garage, I think these would be a decent option.

They make this stuff in a can called bug repellant. You spray it on yourself, and it keeps them off of you. :)

The other option is to move out of NC. ;)

Maybe put tiki torches near the door opening.

Lawn treatment of some sort is crucial. Keep anything that holds standing water cleaned out.

Get a screen for your garage door - not super cheap, but will definitely solve your problem.

Instead of waging a war against the mosquitoes, you could build a relationship.

Only the females bite, win the females over.
First, you all have to know each other better. Place scented candles in your garage. Smooth music too.

You need some bats in your garage, problem solved.

Bats are one option. Alternatively you can go with spiders, frogs, or dragonflies. With any of the four, you also get to technically call yourself Batman, Spider-Man, etc:

Get some fans. Lots of fast moving air will make it difficult for them to land on you and bite.

Thats why i dont trust his post about using fans
You could probably still use bats if you try the fan. The wind should be strong enough to slow down the mosquitoes, but not enough to really effect the bats. Frogs should still work too. #synergy

Some species of birds also eat mosquitoes, but there's already a Birdman rapper and basketball player, so what's the point if you can't use the name?

According to Google, Vampire spiders also eat mosquitoes. I suppose you could just get a few thousand of these for your garage.

“Like Bram Stoker’s Dracula or Arnold Schwarzenegger in the James Cameron movie The Terminator, these little specialist predators ignore any other insects that get in the way as they pursue their target victims – mosquitoes.”
