MK677's Muscle Building Abilities

I’ve recently watched videos, read articles on MK677, as well as read some papers and some people’s own experiences. Over the course of a few months do you think that MK677 would build more muscle than naturally to justify its use (I know it’s not gonna produce insane results but I’m curious how much of a difference it makes compared to being on nothing). I’ve seen mixed reviews on its muscle building abilities as some people swear by it and others not so much. It seems there’s definitely some bias when people have already taken gear which makes them see MK677 as useless in terms of muscle building. I’m curious to hear any thoughts. Thanks!

honestly bro it depends on how you individually respond to the GH pathway.....

plus mk increases your natural gh production - but by how much depends on what your natural levels are.

So in a nutshell it should give you at the worst a very little boost over natural but by how much really can’t be said.

your right though, results will not compare to ph or any aas really.

If goal is to build muscle it is ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH IT. It’ll bring more problems than it’s going to help. Are you willing to buy a blood glucose testing kit at home and test it daily? Because on the long run this **** will mess with your insulin sensitivity and your blood glucose. At best it’ll give you the equivalent of 1 to 2 iu of growth and that’s not gonna do **** for muscle building. Dont believe what people tell you on forums when they haven’t run the thing for 8 months + and never got bloodwork on it like monthly to really not what’s its doing. If you wanna use it for better sleep, better recovery than yes it’s worth it. If you’re expecting it to build a decent amount of lean tissue you’re wasting your time.

Right. It's not a muscle builder.

yeah, OP this correct. I reread my post and to clarify (and I stand by this) it will give you slightly more than being natural in terms of muscle building but it is not a muscle builder (I didn’t make that clear, my point at the end was that mk won’t do anything as much as a ph or any aas) - as math says, the issues far out weight the slight increase in muscle I would suggest you may get (partly from the increased appetite tbf)

its also true it can **** insulin sensitivity so you can’t just run it continually

I really appreciate the feedback. Would taking berberine to combat insulin sensitivity issues make taking MK677 worth it then? If not, are there any alternatives to MK677 that won't mess with testosterone that are worth exploring?

berberine is effective (as is metformin)

but

It really depends on your expectations (and financial situation) as to whether it’s worth it. Any mild ph or aas would add more lean mass so whilst you’ll gain a little it’s not going to be especially noticeable (I assume you have a decent few years proper training and therefore natural gains are now very very slow as they sadly become).

tbh it’s not cheaper but some of the better natty stacks could add as much.

peptides can also give a boost but they are similar to mk in not really being muscle building (adds a little, most are better for fat loss though).

if we are being honest the only thing that adds noticeable amounts of lean mass in well trained lifters is anabolics.....

Thanks, those are definitely things to think about. I've also read about SR9009/SR9011 and was curious if this would be a better option than MK677 in terms of results + safety? It seems like there are mixed reviews as there are some questions of bioavailability. It also seems like it may just improve endurance and fat loss but not do too much for muscle building.

basically yes, those two are typically used to improve endurance/exercise capacity and thus improve fat burning/body comp. but the oral forms are (ime and from what I’ve seen) useless and even the injectable appears to have limited results (although you still find more support for injectable sr but again, not in a muscle building capacity)

Thanks, that's kinda what I thought. Does consuming the SR9011 sublingually make a big difference? (I've heard a few people claiming that this makes a huge difference in seeing results).

honestly I’ve not looked into it recently (and sub lingual wasn’t an option when I took it) but my first instinct is that it wouldn’t make a huge difference (certainly not compared to injectable).

For whatever it's worth, I've used 1200mg of cinnamon with carb meals and 10mg carderine before bed daily and that was pretty good at keeping my bg from going out of wack with mk on training days and cjc dac 1mg per week, I also did 1 low to no carb day "30gm or less" every week.

This wasnt for a long period of time tho, only 4-5 weeks and my calories were pretty low 2200-2500 a day.

If I was eating a typical high carb bulking diet I dont know if bg would have still stayed in check

I've always ran cards in the low side and optimized there use based on when I was lifting. For me it was super helpful getting a BG meter and checking it throughout the day and learning how my body responded to input, etc. I used Huperzine A and Metformin..oh and Tumeric and Milk Thistle (not together).

I have to disagree with this entirely. This all has to do with proper dosing. I definitely had some issues at 25mg a day. Bumped it down to 12.5 and felt great. Absolutely no side effects there and it keeps me nice and full. I wouldn’t run it longer than 8 weeks

look at it this way. Probably costs $15 to make a bottle. You’re getting ripped off essentially for something that has very little positive effect. I’d say it could be beneficial during a PCT because of its anti catabolic effects, but the side effects aren’t worth it. I had swelling in my forearms and could barely grip the f*cking bar on deadlifts and BB rows. It also gave me a tingling sensation in my extremities. I think this, as well as sarms, aren’t worth it whatsoever. To each his own.
