Misfit28 is putting the Power in PowerMAX XT

Sorry for the delay guys, I had a sudden death in the family, and was out of town (not too far) yesterday for the funeral.

I managed to lift Saturday and this morning, though. It helped take my mind off of it.

Saturday:

Front Squats:

Warmups at 40%, 60%, 80% of 135.

Working sets:

135 X 8
120 X 9

Bumping up to 145 next Saturday. Felt good, form is getting better, gives me some excellent ab work :)

Leg Extensions and Hamstring Curls:

2 X 8

This morning:

Deadlifts:

Warmups at 40%, 60% and 80% of 325

Working sets:

325 X 3
290 X 4

The third rep was a grinder. I upped the weight 10 lbs. from last week. Still regaining strength on a cut :D

Standing OHP:

Warmups at 40%, 60% and 80% of 130

Working sets:

130 X 7

I actually forgot to do my drop down set for some reason, LOL.

Lat Pulldowns:

2 X 8 at 150#

Great workout but truly sorry for the loss

Thanks for the condolences guys. I'm more brokenhearted for his wife and my son who both loved him dearly. It was a horrific accident, one which I would not wish on my worst enemy. I appreciate all your thoughts.

I am hitting Bench tomorrow, and still steadily losing fat. I honestly am amazed that I keep regaining strength on a deficit.

My workouts are on point, especially for being fasted. I'm also able to power through the workouts with ease. The XTend I'm sure helps, but I think my recovery is great and that the Betaine, Creatine and other ergogenics are assisting me greatly in this department.

sorry to hear that bro

Sorry to hear about your loss. Nice session all things considered!

Destroyed my workout today :) I got about 8 hours and 45 minutes of sleep, and ate a few more carbs than I should have yesterday which resulted in a few more calories as well. Had to put them to good use!

I had 1 scoop of Powermax XT and 1 scoop of Max Out about 30 minutes preworkout, with a mix of one scoop of Xtend Perform and 1 scoop of Core ABC about 5-10 minutes before lifting.

Here's my workout, which took me about 35 minutes:

Flat Bench

Warmups at bar for 8, 40% for 5, 60% for 3 and 80% for 1

Main working set was 165 X 8 (2 reps higher than last week at same weight). I actually got 9 reps, but the last one was really sloppy and pretty much to failure. Counting 8 ;) I'll bump up to 170 next week for 6-8 reps.

Drop down set was slightly higher than 90% at 150, managed 8 reps +1 after a small rest.

Incline DB Bench

45s X 8
45s X 6

Pecs and delts were fried after these.

Hammer Curls

30s 2 X 8

Tricep Rope Extensions

90 X 2 X 8

Pendlay Rows

135 X 8
135 X 6

These were done supersetted with the above.

I felt awesome the entire workout, and was literally out of breath after each set, intensity was high :) I was able to move quickly between sets, though. Felt very accomplished.

Front Squats/Legs on Saturday :)

Front Squats/Legs on Saturday :)

already, feel like you just wrote this yesterday lmao- nice workout

Sorry for the lack of updates lately, guys! Halloween got me off track on posting, but I've been steady on the diet and training (as much as possible with candy ;))

Powermax is still treating me very well. I'm really enjoying my return to fitness so far.

Strength is decently coming back. Small hiccup on Standing OHP, but it has always been an iffy lift for me, LOL. Here's my workouts, I've had three since the last update as I split my OHP and Deadlift days this week because of Halloween ;)

Saturday, October 29th:

Front Squats

Warmups at 40% x %, 60% X 3, 80% X 1

Top set was 145 X 7

Drop down set was 130 X 8

Hamstring Curls:

100 X 2 X 8

Leg Extensions

100 X 2 X 8

Monday, October 31

Standing OHP:

Warmups at 40% X 5, 60% X 3, 80% X 1

135 X 3 reps FAIL

Drop down set was 120 X 4

Got 130 for 7 last week, only 3 this week, should have had 6-8 reps. Oh well, it happens ;)

After these I did some chin negatives at BW, a couple sets of curls and tricep pressdowns.

Tuesday, November 1:

Deadlifts:

Warmups at 40% X 5, 60% X 3, 80% X 1

Top set was 335 X 4, weight will stay the same next week until I hit 5 reps.

Drop down set was 300 X 5

Chin up negatives 2 X 5 BW (280 lbs.)

Lat Pulldowns 2 X 8 @ 100#

Chest supported Row 2 X 8 @ 95#

Thursday is Bench day, with more arms and DB Incline after. Of course, Saturday is Front Squats/Legs again ;)

Weight is down to 280.6 yesterday and today. I'm tracking daily weight and calories to get an average over a 4 week period to zero in on my TDEE. At the start of the log I was at 282.2 (October 6). Might have to drop the cals down just a bit to see what happens.

Nice workout. I LOVE front squats

I hit Bench Press today, dosing Powemax and Max Out about 30 minutes per-workout.

Did pretty decent for upping the weight five pounds. The later reps got a little grindy, and no spotter at my gym before 6AM so I played it safe. I also did more than the recommended 1 rep on my 80% warmup set because it felt good. That may have played into the issues I had with my top set.

Here's my workout:

Flat Barbell Bench:

Warmups with bar X 10, 40% of top set X 5, 60% of top set X 3 and 80% of top set X 3

Top set: 170 X 6

Drop Down set: 155 X 7

Chest felt good and fatigued afterwards, but still did Incline DB presses.

Incline DB Presses (15%):

45s X 2 X 8

Hammer Curls:

30s X 2 X 8

Tricep Rope Extensions

80 X 8
70 X 8

Pendlay Rows:

155 X 2 X 8

I finished this all in around 30 minutes :D

I'm glad it's PowerMax XT is treating you well man.
I'm starting to like them a LOT better than Back Squats. They hit my quads harder, and I don't have as much low back or heel pain with them.
I think I also prefer front squats. I always end up with a sore/nagging lower back with any decent weight on back squats, but front squats really help me hit my quads and save my lower back.

Did I mention how much front squats suck. Lol. Got me there bro! And def props for sticking this out

Well guys, this morning was my final dose of Powermax :(

I think I'll be picking this up in the future, as it really helped me out a lot during a cut. I was able to get back in the groove easier, IMO.

I hit Front Squats again on Saturday, and managed 145 X 8. Probably could have gotten 9, but didn't push it. My drop down set on the RPT was 130 X 9. I hit some hard Leg Extensions and Curls. My legs are still a bit sore ;)

I weighed in at 278.4 this morning, so in about a month I lost about 4 lbs. Not bad.

I've also kept meticulous track of weight every day and calories, so I can do averages. Over the 4 weeks starting 10/10/2016, I lost 3.4 lbs, and my TDEE currently hovers around 3,445. I've now adjusted a bit downwards to compensate. Current calories are 3253 on WO days and 2277 on Rest days. I adjusted down to (hopefully) lose 1.5 lbs. per week. I'm hoping to be at about 230 at 15% BF in roughly 8 months. We'll see how I do ;) I'll probably add something in for the final part of the cut :)

I'll have a full review up tomorrow morning!

Looking forward to the review! Proud of you man! Progress is still progress. Stick with it. Glad PowerMax XT was able to help you out.
