I was listening to Mike&Mike this morning on ESPN and Mike Greenberg was discussing the steroid issue relative to baseball and baseball records. He starts talking about how the players take things intended for horses (EQ) animals, and women etc.. He says, "these guys are injecting clomid", and implies that clomid is a steroid for women. I would think that if these guys were going to pontificate on the topic of steroids in sports they would want to be somewhat knowledgeable about what they are saying? Yes Mike Greenberg clomid is an injectable steroid for women. On how many levels can you be wrong?

all kinds, are you suprised? they do this all the time and on more topics then you would believe.
 
It's the hot topic in sports now. They are going to come up with any information that they can (true or false) and spin it to meet thier needs. It's the media, can we expect any less?
 
well .. EQ is for horses and while clomid is neither an injectible nor a steriod it is for women...

I'm not sure if you mean me or Mike Greenberg -

But if it is me-No I am well aware that clomid is a fertility drug for women.

My point was just that its not a steroid, not injected, and his whole reasoning of assuming guys took it as an anabolic agent rather than a SERM for PCT/recovery is way off. It seems he was just assuming it was all these things because it is associated with AAS use or users. an he heard or read this somewhere but didn't bother to really try to understand it before talking about it to millions on the radio.
 
I see mistakes like this all the time. listen in to news that relates to your professions and you will see it more often. the uneducated masses will fall for it everytime. hell I even get into debates with people about the wrong information they consider facts. I just back it up with research, they only have a vague news article.

Nope, Greenberg, that's why I quoted your quoting of him. I was actually speaking to you (and the rest of the forum).
 
whether mr. greenberg knows that he's wrong - i don't know. but i do know that no one will take a public stand to defy him.

i remember when i was in university, there were these posters EVERYWHERE, huge posters and charts all over university claiming that nicotine is JUST AS addictive as cocaine.

In reality, EVERYBODY knows that cocaine is way way way more addictive than nicotine to the extent that the body actually has an obvious physical reaction when they need a high. but the main key is....SO WHAT? it's not as if a cocaine manufacturer is gonna come out and take a stand saying that cocaine is way more addicting than nicotine or something like that......... you know what i'm saying?
