I've been doing Xtend, and I've tried using protein and dex but it made me feel like **** during workout so I might try using Xtend and malto soon.
 
You can take Xtend and Substance wPI and mix it, taste awesome and helps you recover from a hard workout. Make sure the Xtend and WPI are the same flavor though.
 
I read on Beast's log that one g bcaa=1g protein and that xtend has 11 grams per serving but is not allowed to print it on the nutrition label because the FDA does not count free form aminos as a protein source
 
I've been using substance wpi, xtend, and supercarb in my during workout shakes during my bulk the last few months, and have been loving the combination. I finish each workout strong, and as the supercarb is a low glycemic carbohydrate source, I don't suffer a major carb induced coma post workout as I tend to when using dextrose.
 
Directly from the avant labs website. It's still in beta form, so hasn't been released to retailers as of yet.

Premature? Id be more worried about spontaneous ejaculation with that chick. With Premature ejac, at least if she's that hot you could rest inside for a few seconds and then start going again once you got back to 2 3rds mast. (doesnt work if you pull out. Not that youd want to anyway.)

Yes it does work and very well I might add. My wife made me stop taking it for a while because as soon as she walked in the door from work i was hounding her for some push push. Clean up was a job...well, for her...lol I stand by these supps big time because I know they really do work. I got off these supps for about 2 or 3 months now the wife is hinting around about me taking them again....she must have healed completely then..lol:head: :thumbsup:

Damn bro, Im gonna have to try that ejaculoid stuff. My GF cant get preggers, and I never EVER pull out. That stuff could make for a more satisfying mess. :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

yes, the 17th is the day. nothing fancy, just a simple site. when it grows i will do more and add more stuff and offer some better deals as they become available. i will be posting pics on there as well from meets I enter and meets/shows i go watch. i am friends with the RAW Powerlifting federations vice prez. and he set the site up and we are working together to help promote RAW here in South Carolina. RAW is becoming VERY popular and is growing like crazy.

actually my rotator cuff on my right side has been a bit tender, so I've been training less intensely this week. At least in exercises that involve the rc. But on the plus side I've kept most my gains from the last cycle. I peaked at 258, and after shedding some water Im down to 247. (I was a leaner 210 before that cycle.) And I've only lost like 1/8th of an inch on my arms. Strength was still improving post cycle until the rotator cuff recovery became an issue again. And even now, some of my lifts are improving. So, except for the limbo state of rotator cuff health, It's going pretty good. It's my personal life that's been awkward lately. (I have to choose between two women both of whom I love very much, and both of whom are in love with me, and the Toremifene and being off cycle makes me more prone to sadness.) How bout U?
 
my workouts were doing great but i overtrained and went from a 330lb bench for 2 sets of 2 to 225 barely for 5. i took some time off, changed the routine, now i am back up to 300lbs.

you should do rotar cuff exercises. they help me allot. i have had both shoulders operated on from going to heavy all the time and bad form. that was in 92.

Also try broom stick stretches, they do wonders for shoulders, do the rotar cuff and broom stick exercises between sets when benching, it really helped get rid of my pain. i have very little pain now if any.
 
I'll have to try some of those exercises. I was doing cable rc work for a while and things were going great, and strength was about equal on both sides, then I changed to a new program that I didnt include them. I was doing kind of heavy direct RC work. (Like 6-8 reps inny, and 6-8 reps outy.) of course I could use more on the inny's then the outy's. I was on test and deca though so it was getting alot stronger plus the test and deca seems to heal stuff like that fast w/out having to skip workouts. Not to mention the increased collagen production from the deca. But now Im just on GH and alternating tween IGF and slin, plus my post cycle supps, so Im not healing at superhuman rates anymore.
Do you do the broomstick stretches behind neck or behing butt or both?
 
wow, i didnt know deca was good for the joints? i have heard people say that a test/deca cycle will do wonders for your body and joints. i have also heard Equipoise was great too, but i wouldnt know first hand, dont have that kind of connection.

Broomstick stretches, i start with a wide grip go up over my head and try to keep going until i touch my butt then come back up. bring my hands in a bit closer then do it again. i do 3 or 4 reps then 1 set RC with a DB each arm, then go bench, i do this between each set.
 
Ah, I see. I dont know if I can rotate all the way up and behind then back, but I'll try it out.
Yeah man, Deca increases collagen production, I dont know if test or tren or eq do or not, Id have to do a search or two for that. GH is supposed to be good for joints and connective tissue too, but I dont notice that so much since Im not stacking it w/ deca anymore.
 
i would love to do a cycle one day, my knee surgeries did a number on my knee it is getting better but will never be 100% so a cycle like this would help out to a certain degree.
 
At one point i drank gatoraide during my workouts it worked well but it put chub on me, so i dropped that awfully fast, i would like to try something like grape substance WPI+Xtend to drink during my workouts. I'm paranoid about being in a catabolic state, this way i'm covered 24/7
 
i drink the wpi and xtend every workout, good stuff. i tried the grape and watermelon, i like grape best. it helps me feel fresh and not tired. like it is renewing my strength every set...if that makes sense.
 
I have been reading a lot of studies on this and it seems that it just isn't a good idea. I will try and find more studies on it as well.

Protein Ingestion Prior to Strength Exercise Affects Blood Hormones and Metabolism.

Abstract:
Purpose: The effects of protein consumption before strength training session on blood hormones, energy metabolites, RER, and excess postexercise oxygen consumption (EPOC) were examined.

Methods: Ten resistance-trained young men consumed either a 25 g of whey and caseinate proteins (PROT) or a noncaloric placebo (P) in a liquid form 30 min before a heavy strength training session (STS) in a crossover design separated by at least 7 d. STS lasted 50 min and included 5 x 1 RM squats, 3 x 10 RM squats and 4 x 10 RM leg presses with 2-, 3-, and 2-min recoveries, respectively. A protein-carbohydrate supplement was consumed after STS in both trials. Venous blood samples were collected before, during, and after STS and oxygen consumption before and after STS.

Results: Serum growth hormone (GH), testosterone, and free fatty acids (FFA) were significantly (P << 0.05) higher in P compared with PROT 5 min after an STS. The calculated area under curve (AUC) of the serum insulin response during an STS was significantly (P < 0.001) higher in PROT compared with P. The EPOC value from 90 to 120 min after an STS was significantly greater in the PROT condition compared with P (P = 0.01), and PROT treatment had a significantly higher RER 2 h postexercise (P = 0.04). The AUC of serum FFA during STS correlated significantly and negatively with RER 10-30 min after STS (r = -0.53, P = 0.02).

Conclusions: Consuming 25 g of whey and caseinate proteins 30 min before an STS significantly decreases serum GH, testosterone, and FFA levels, and increases serum insulin during an STS. Furthermore, the pre-STS protein increased EPOC and RER significantly during 2-h recovery after STS.






Fatty acid oxidation is directly regulated by carbohydrate metabolism during exercise

We determined whether increased glycolytic flux from hyperglycemia and hyperinsulinemia directly reduces fatty acid oxidation during exercise. Fatty acid oxidation rates were measured during constant-rate intravenous infusion of trace amounts of a long-chain fatty acid ([1-13C]palmitate; Pal) vs. a medium-chain fatty acid ([1-13C]octanoate; Oct). Six endurance-trained men cycled for 40 min at 50% of maximal O2 uptake 1) after an overnight fast ("fasting") and 2) after ingestion of 1.4 g/kg of glucose at 60 min and again 10 min before exercise (Glc). Glc caused hyperinsulinemia, a preexercise blood glucose of 6 mM, and a 34% reduction in total fat oxidation during exercise due to an approximately equal reduction in oxidation of plasma-free fatty acids (FFA) and intramuscular triglycerides (all P < 0.05). Oxidation of Pal was significantly reduced during Glc compared with fast (i.e., 70.0 +/- 4.1 vs. 86.0 +/- 1.9% of tracer infusion rate; P < 0.05). However, Glc had no effect on Oct oxidation, which is apparently not limited by mitochondrial transport. Furthermore, Glc reduced plasma FFA appearance 36% (P < 0.05), indicating a coordination of effects on adipose tissue and muscle. In summary, substrate oxidation during exercise can be regulated by increased glycolytic flux that is accompanied by a direct inhibition of long-chain fatty acid oxidation. These observations indicate that carbohydrate availability can directly regulate fat oxidation during exercise.
 
i couldnt imagice drinking a shake druing a workout...i'd get sick esp. if it was all warm and chunky.

i have a hard time keeping water down during workouts....it makes everything harder( breathing, moving around, ect ect.)

but if it was something lie XTEND then im game...put a bunch of scoops in a gallon or half gallon jug and sip on it between sets, it has a good bit of protein in it too.

what if you train within 10-15 minutes of waking in the am? Then would you reccommend it?

Either way having any sort of carbohydrate drink (even if it has protein) is not a good idea unless you are drinking half gatorade and half water on a really long leg day or something.
