Metformin???

OUTofLINE

recently I have been considering incorporating the use of insulin on my cycle. But instead of jumping directly to something like Humilin or Lantis I was wondering about metfomin, and how much would be considered a good beginner dose for someone 5’8” 205lbs 39years old, taking:
Test E - 150mg (mon, thurs)
Test P - 15mg Ed
Tren Ace - 375mg
Arimidex 1mg e3d
T3 - 25mcg Ed

I feel like I have sort of hit a plateau, and would like to get the most out of the food I am eating. That being just one of the reasons I am interested In insulin. What would be a good beginning dose ??? When should I take the dose, and how often?

My diet is on point, I take in about 1.5g of P per lb.
1g. of C per lb.
No more than 20g. Of fat a day.

Also, if anyone has or knows of any other good threads or places that I could read and educate myself further on this subject I would really appreciate it.

Metformin is not anabolic. It is for glucose management. Do you even have a glucometer and know your daily fasted and fed blood glucose levels? You could actually put yourself in danger taking this without knowing your levels.

You would only see composition improvements using it if you happened to be at least pre-diabetic, and only because you would become healthier from lower systemic inflammation.

Furthermore, Berberine at effective doses has been clinically shown in human studies to be more effective than Metformin for glucose disposal, and it’s dirt cheap. Swanson’s is like $12 on sale and most legit GDA supps like Blue Sugar will be based on it. But GDAs and Metformin almost inhibit gains the way they interact with AMPK, and shouldn’t be used peri-training. Again, not like insulin at all.

Metformin is lately being used in the anti aging community, those without diabetes.

Correct. I know @Whisky is incorporating it. I take Berberine daily to balance the effects of Mk677 on my blood glucose. But it’s not what OP is looking for. He wants to take insulin, without actually taking slin.

He needs to do some research on IGF-1 DES & LR3 and decide if their cost and preparation/storage & administration requirements (different from most peptides) are worth the hassle.

This......

Metformin isn’t a performance/muscle building enhancer. (In fact I’ve seen some evidence it may slightly impact performance). It does block glycogenesis and is big in the treatment or prevention of diabetes. Granted as someone who also uses mk677 it’s handy in that regard.

However it’s anti aging is linked to its anti cancer and anti cardiovascular benefits......nothing to do with insulin really. I dose 500 am and 500 pm. Never had any sides.
