Melting a Titan, Sponsored Thermogenesis log

Ryane started it. Lol. I was on track to pull 6 this year before I destroyed my hand. Anything over 4 hurts so bad I've stopped pulling that heavy. When I do deads now I only do 315 for a few sets just for fun.

But were you using a hook grip?

Not many people can pull 6 plates. I was "on pace" to hit 8 plates a couple years ago...but then I hit 4 plates and sh1t started getting heavy.

Lmao. No it's not a hook grip. I wonder if it would actually benefit me now. I have issues though holding the bar now in my right hand with a pronated grip. So I may still have to try inverted just for that extra grip.

Hulk told me that was his flashlight when he spotted me on squats.

I pulled 550 in April at the end of a ph cycle. I was super pumped. Next week destroyed my hand. My goal was to pull 600 by December. I'll never see that dream come true. But I accept it now.

Lol...maglight solitare? Or more like a foursevens mini X?

Never say never! How did you destroy your hand? .....waiting for bighulksmash to comment.

I max at 405.. trying to hit 500 by the summer.
FireTitan, a tip that helped me get a better dead was pulling for reps from a deficit. I was plateaud at 315 and did deficit deads for 2 weeks doing 4-5 sets of 185-225 for 8... my deadlift started climbing fast as hell..

Nice. Ill wait till I hit that wall, and give it a shot. I think I can get 500 by spring maybe!?

Haha stuck it in a garbage disposal to free a spoon .... stuck it in a mailbox full of cow shıt.... had a bb gun kick back and shatter my girly wrist haha

I was thinking you had some kind of fapping comment ....

Lmao, look at you! Two days ago, deadlifting 225....now, "I should be able to hit 500 any day now" ...please read my comment above. I was on that same pace. Then things started getting heavy.

Now go prove me wrong. That "fck you, check that sh1t out" look is so sexy.

Oh, its coming!! Hypothetically speaking, knock on wood, God willing, and anything else I cant think of right now

Writing a plethora of tickets. Carpal tunnel
Pretty close. Lol.

Dude. I started doing deadlifts twice a week. Tuesday's would be my rack pulls or sumo day and Friday's were dedicated deadlift day. Rack pulls really helped break that locking out plateau. I think the most I did on rack pulls was like 725. But you're only moving it a few inches. Deficits help a lot too. They help break the getting it off the floor plateau.

That's what she said.

Most definitely. You're probably a lot closer than you think.

Pretty close. Lol.

Just started doing some rack pulls. Need to keep them going. And d@mn, 725. Starting to not like you. Lol

I'm like a foot shorter than you. It's really easy for my to do that. I can't barbel row half what you can or bench anywhere close to what you can. That's man stuff right there.

Yep I do dead twice a week too.. and I look forward to that sh1t... I love deads

Deadlifts and squats are life changing. When you finally become OK at doing then....which usually involves putting the ego aside and learning the movements with less weight than you want to use...they become pure awesomeness . Firetitan is now part of our club!

I am the same way! 5'8'' does have some advantages I guess haha.

Its a sickness, I just hit my little bit today, and already looking for the next round. Daddy likey

I love hearing you talk like this. Makes me wanna go pick sh1t up and put it down!

Make smaller goals too. Don't just say I'm going to pull 500 by spring. Say. I'm gonna pull 450 (or whatever you think) by Janurary 31st. Get those small goals in sight so you always have something to reach. If something is to far it's easy to lose sight and fall off the path. But satisfaction from smaller victories will keep you going. Especially when you're only 5lbs away and a week out. Or even better than that is when you exceed your weight and time limit.

Heck yea. I didn't really start getting stronger until I started heavy squats and deads.

Absolutely... no other lift is like it for me. It's raw strength..

Makes me feel awesome with all those plates jangling around.

I told some guy that today in my class. I said something like I like to pick heavy sh!t up off the ground for fun. Lol. Just looked at me weird.

I am! Im looking to end my HST run with 435x5. I think that's doable, if I can stay at it!

435x5 is a lot. I bet you could probably pull 500 right now. If not you'll be daggum close.

Ha! Thanks, but not even ready to try it. Lets get past the 315x15x2 first. Lol

That's still a sh1t load lol. Deads are the most taxing to the cns and there's such a strange strength margin when you near your 1RM... for instance, if I match my 1RM easily and think I can add 10s and break my PR I might not even get the bar off the ground.

Sooooo true.

Thank you. I will keep that in mind, but its going to be a while before I worry about a 1RM. And Im going to ATTEMPT to be smart about the process

Real quick note. Got off from EMS a little early, and took 2 caps at 0445. I really did not notice the focus factor in Thermogenesis. Im in the woods, its 16 degrees, and my toes are numb. Ive seen everything BUT a deer. However, Im seeing every little move, Im able to zoom right in it seems. Im pretty sure I even saw a fart come right out of a squirrels arse! Its actually pretty cool to feel this "in tune". But now, I have to put my d@mn gloves back on!

That would be crazy! I want you to do it. I just finished my cycle of "HST" at 4x415. If I could get to 5 x 435 that would be so much stronger....now I have a new goal. Thank you!

Yeah, this is so true. And you can get 2 reps with a certain weight and still grind out 1 with almost 20-30 pounds more sometimes. It is hard to guestimate...but once you hit that 1RM for real, even 5 pounds more won't budge.

I think that what HIT4ME meant by saying after 400lbs "sh1t got heavy" lmao

Lol...I meant...deadlifting is great when you start - you usually have fear and you start at 200 then a bit more, then realize you can do more, make huge jumps fast and then after a few months you are at 400. And it seems so easy during that phase, but then you hit 400 and things seem to change and it just gets HARD. It's great...but you obviously aren't going from 400 to 500 like most go from 200 to 400.

So I was joking that I was on pace for 8 plates...when I was gaining every workout 20-30 pounds...but then it got truly heavy and that all stopped. Haha.

To be a smartass or not be a smartass? Smartass

Quit fapping to that squirrel and you might see something.

I truly struggled to get to 400. First time I ever did it I had a bunch of 5s and 10s on there. Four whole plates was a big mental barrier. I pushed really hard to get to that 500 mark. My body fought me the whole time. First time I tried it I failed miserably. Got 480 easy and 490 easy. 500 May has well been cemented to the floor. I couldn't even budge it. Lol. I must have grabbed the 100s instead of 45s. Lol.
I get what you're saying HIT4ME things did get heavy. But it's all in your head. If you ask a strongman competitor how much 1000lb deadlifts feel like. You know what they say. They ask "what's your max? Cause that's what it feels like."

Omg. Triple post geeze

Stupid double post
