medication and supplement interactions

So i typically supplement with multiple products. Protein, NO boosters, fish oil, multi vitamin, zma, creatine, and have cycled havoc twice in the past 8 mos. Three weeks ago I was diagnosed with a deep vein blood clot in my leg, and placed on heparin and coumadin for the next six months. My doctor says that I have to stop all supplements and leafy greens until I can stop taking the coumadin. Does anyone have any experience with this? I am 28 yrs old, 5'8" 205 lbs. and typically follow a Keto-esque diet (high protein, high fat, veggies and some fresh fruit). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

forgot to mention that i have also been taking phenibut 2-3 times a week for about a year.

how are you handling the stoppage of Phen? I would think that at 2-3 x a week (not sure of youre dose range, but I would imagine it would be more then normal since you have been on it for a year) you may have a little withdrawl.

as far as the diet, im sure you know this, but bro a blod clot is no joke.

For those who may not know- When a blood vessel is injured, the body uses platelets and fibrin to form a blood clot, as the first step in repairing it (hemostasis) to prevent loss of blood. If that mechanism causes too much clotting, and the clot breaks free, a thrombus is formed. This could lead to the clot itself.

What does of heparin are you starting with? Also, heparin does not break down clots that have already formed (unlike tissue plasminogen activator), it allows the body's natural clot lysis mechanisms to work normally to break down clots that have already formed.

Using both together should work and help the situation. I am not 100% positive, but the K diet may inhibit, hinder or make your body work harder during the treatment. Obviously, this would be the last thing your body needs to deal with.

Again, I imagine this is a bunch of stuff you already know and may not want to hear. IMO, lay off everything, eat as healthly as possible (have Dr. suggest diet) and go from there.

THe last thing you want is to have further issues down the road.
