I thought I would devote a thread to telling people about my company and any promotions I could offer you guys - even some exclusive to the members of the Anabolic Minds forum. Hopefully, people will continue to read and learn a bit about what it is we do and perhaps be better-suited in understanding who it is responding to your posts.
Company Promotional Introduction:
Devoid of any doubt, the need for an organization to bring clarity to multiple fields under a unified position, Medical Muscle, LLC went into development in 1998 under the direction of company founder Dana Houser, MD, MHSA, CISSN. The organization's intention was to work as an aide to those suffering from some level of "hormonal and/or metabolic disarray" (diabetes mellitus, hypo/hyperthyroid, am...inoacidurias, malabsorption syndromes, post-cholecystectomy post-bariatric surgery, etc...).
The subsequent pilot campaign in 2000 was cut short by continuing evolution. Over the last decade the organization has found its niche to encompass athletes; the aging population, with focus on primary prevention of various disease states; as well as the academically-curious. Since that time, the organization has gone on to service over 10,000 clients, physicians, and patients worldwide.
In 2003, the first attempt was made as widespread dissemination of the company's mission to only be prematurely discontinued months later. 2007 saw reinvention of the e-zine phenom now known as The Clinical Underground™, which proved to be anything but an "underground" newsletter/informational piece now being sent out to over 50,000 active subscribers. Around the same time, multiple "Ask Dr. Houser" columns on various websites and forums which deal with any and all questions related to nutritional/hormonal concepts that are not readily talked about by others started appearing. This was a breath of fresh air to the consumer who had nowhere to go prior to this time to get evidence-based info on topics that were very real for them.
2008 brought publication of an e-book called Body Prime™ which was a coupling of metabolic principles together with over 20 years experience in the area of body composition alteration involving 3 primary areas: (1) Nitrogen Balance, (2) Hypothalamic Functioning, and (3) Insulin Modulation. The idea is that fad-diets fail on at least one aspect of these three and without any one of these components - any diet will not yield the desired end-result. An expanded version of this work is slated for release later in 2012 (barring no publication obstacles).
2008-2011 was an era of significant expansion with multiple studies being put together and in-house clinical trial. This moved on to reach a widespread national conference circuit. Also during this area, and while advancing many different supplement companies along in the industry, was the development of a pharmacovigilance sector of the company which has helped many companies govern side effect profiles and Adverse Event Reporting (AER). This has lead to significant improvement in safety sweeping across the industry.
2012 will mark the launch of a Pro-Testosterone campaign with designated supplement program (alongside diet and exercise). This will include a book detailing the issues men face in advancing years with low testosterone and its subsequent pathologic sequelae. The hope is to significantly increase awareness to the public at-large, so it will most likely be suited as an anti-aging campaign that finds it's way into mass-market promotion with an early 2012 clinical trial and publication alongside subsequent infomercial and alternative advertisement.
Medical Muscle will expand to include a peer-reviewed on-line journal: The Journal of Hormonal and Nutritional Science™ (JOHNS). This publication will contribute to the organizational vision to act as a driving force guiding various directives on the future of nutritional/hormonal research. The future looks very promising with intentions to include formal certification as well as continuing education events such as annual conferences and chapter subdivisions.
