MCT oil

I'm getting ready for a competition in a few months, and stay at around 8% bodyfat year round. I want to get down to 4%. As far as diet, would replacing carbs with MCT oil help me reach my desired percentage? I'm on a very high protein diet, so I thought about eliminating 90% of my carb intake, and curbing my hunger with MCT. Is this a good idea for quick fat loss (around 5lbs), or an off the wall stupid idea? Haha

Carbs do not make you fat, eliminating them and replacing them with any type of fat won't get you to your results. You just need to eat at a deficit. 4%, without drugs, seems like it would be very hard to do as well.

If anything, eliminating carbs with fats would not curb hunger in my opinion. You get more grams carbs than fats cal wise.

What if I only eat lean protein, and nothing else? I know I'll probably lose a little muscle, not sure how else to do it other than more cardio.

You're going to have one hell of a bad time with a screwed metabolism if you're not calculating your needed calorie intake and just winging it.. No carbs is going to make you depleted and look grain AF, but does not mean you're going to lose fat.

check out a site called iifym.com and put in your stats - they may want you to register first so just do it to avoid irritation..

Once you put in your stats you can choose your goal and just follow that, making adjustments as you lose weight

You'll definitely get lean, but you'll also be putting your body in a bad position with lack of nutrition. Your body needs essential fats in your diet for proper hormone production and body function. Going extremely low carb will get you lean, but it will also result in a loss of muscle mass, and your training and performance will suffer greatly if you are depriving yourself of adequate energy from food.

Don't guess when it comes to dieting down. You don't want to be stuck with a damaged metabolism or other health problems that can result from undereating. There are plenty of great sites to help with estimating calorie intake. Also be aware too that dieting to 4% naturally will be close to impossible. Most competitive bodybuilders, even enhanced ones, don't even step on stage at that low of bodyfat. Its difficult to attain body fat that low, and impossible to maintain for an extended period of time.
