This log deserves and update!
Prior to being selected for the log I had purchased a bottle of PES AnaBeta Elite. At the end of my 30 days, I honestly wanted to run another bottle of Massmax , but I was tight on funds and I figured I might as well just run ABE since I already had it on hand.
I DID NOT change my routine or my diet (calories or macros). The only thing that changed was Massmax vs ABE. Over the last 4 weeks I've watched both my weight gains and strength progressions slow.
DISCLAIMER: Before reading the results below, take note that my lean/fat mass was calculated by multiplying my total mass to the BF% results obtained from the Omron BF306. It typically has a 2-4% margin of error. DO NOT take the number below as absolutes, use them merely as comparative reference points.
MassMax total mass gained: 4.7lbs
MassMax lean mass gained: 4.7lbs
MassMax fat mass gained: 0.0lbs
ABE total mass gained: 1.2lbs
ABE fat mass gained: 1.3lbs
ABE lean mass gained: -0.1lbs
I don't believe believe I gained 100% lean mass on Massmax. I made strength gains on ABE, so I don't think I actually lost 0.1lbs of muscle either. But the results are telling and I felt they were worth sharing.
