Some people use just agmatine itself as a pre-workout and have reported great results. I've found however that adding it to whatever pre-workout drink I am using allows me to not only get an even better and more intense training session in, but saves me money as well. Depending on the agmatine content of the pre-workout alone, I'm able to use half as much of the drink and still get even better results.
Extending your pre-workout drink by twice as long isn't going to equal huge savings, but supplements every month add up and why not do more with less? This of course begs the question why not to just use agmatine and stop buying the fruity pre-workout drink. For me and I think many others, we've made the drink part of our pre-workout ritual. It may even be mostly placebo, but it works and you don't want to completely change that. So consider adding agmatine into your pre-workout! Adding it in also allows you to find the dosage that works best for you
