Maintaining your hair colour?

Any of you guys use anything to maintain your hair colour?

The last 2 years have been a stressful one and damn it's took its tole on the grey hair scenario! I went from a peppered look to about 20% grey. Crazy quick. People have even mentioned that I'm greying.

I'm not a huge fan of dying my hair. Been looking at more shampoo based products but they never get the best of reviews. I'm sure their are ways to reduce but not eliminate the grey? I think some looks good.

Any decent products on the market? Looking for quick not too messy products. Dying my hair all the time just doesn't sound a good decision long term.

Thanks

Don't waste your money they don't work at all. Nothing will reverse or reduce your Grey hair. You can slow down the process to a degree but when your hair goes Grey from age or stress or whatever it may be, the actual reason is that there is no more melanocyte in that hair follicle. So only a Grey hair can now grow from that follicle

Maybe stemcells in the scalp? Melanocyte is a stem cell. Idk **** about stem cells, melanotan 2? I really don't know if it's possible unless maybe some kind of health issue caused the premature Grey and then you fix that. 🤔

I've got a bottle of melanotan 2 their. I've thought about pinning very small amounts 50-100mg?

I ran it a few years ago. I remember feeling trash on it though. I actually think I was running far too high a dose though. I can't remember tbh.

I will try it and see what happens. Know what's annoying about it... It works so well. I remember being crazy tanned. Just couldn't deal with how sh*t I felt. I did read it can reverse grey hairs though.

Their is a product called GR7 that's based here in the UK that's sold as a reversal product. Mixed reviews and it's very expensive for what you get.

I'm probably just having a mid life crisis tbh lol

I have the peppered look also, I just use Just for Men once every 3 months or so and have my partner put it on for me, works great with the brush they provide so you layer it; there are still grey showing but looks natural.

Women love the Salt & Pepper look haha

I am not saying that it actually works, because I don't know one way or the other, however the Chinese herb "Fo-Ti" allegedly helps reduce greying, and allegedly even restores natural hair color.

If you are inclined to do so, perhaps you might research (see if there are any published studies) this and report back?

I did a key word search and in about 60 seconds and came up with this one, as an example. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4657090/

Mucuna Pruriens is another herb that reported restores hair color. Again, I do not know if it does what it is claimed to do.

I've noticed some reversal of greying taking spermidine (SNS now has Spermidine XT) ghk-cu, Quercetin, Nac + Glycine + stress help using rhodiola + astralagus root or SNS Stress & Anxiety Support, red light therapy, sauna and meditation.

Also to noticeable effect when I've taken TB-500 for injuries in the past.
.
Cheers !

I react so poorly to quercitin. NAC and Glycine 👎

I have some irritating histamine problems and quercitin kept getting spoke about. I picked some up and it made me feel awful. I tried to battle on with it but it never improved.

Ghk-cu seems to be getting alot of positive feedback for anti aging aspects. I was using a skin care product that had ghk as part of the formula. I have hair thinning and ghk was mentioned as a hair growth stimulator. I might pick up some powder and make up a few formulas 👍

Thanks man

You are very welcome, happy to help if I can. Sorry to hear bout that you have poor reactions to them and irritating histamine issues, that's a hard one with the anti-aging benefits and they are always at the top of the list. It never ceases to fascinate me on how different and complex we all can be specifically in regards to what we take and how it effects us differently.

I hope you find some success with the GHK-CU, as you may already know copper helps to lower histamine if your issue happens to be histamine build up or intolerance.

I am thinning too and have it as part the "topical hair protocol" and a facial cream I do for my face. Skin has a youthful glow almost no wrinkles and hair is a little thicker for sure. Just have to make sure to keep taps on if it's going systemic as it can build up and have some nasty sides, but the cool thing is you can stop doing it and it carries on working for another 4-6 months before you would require use it again.

All the best!

I will embarrassingly admit that I have used and still use once a week, the just for men gray reducing shampoo. It works great as long as you follow the directions. By "works great", I mean it looks totally natural, at least on me. Grays are still there, but blend in well with the rest.

What is in your protocol for hair and face?
Grassfed Tallow and honey balm is the only face stuff I need and I've tried all kinds. Hair I find responds to Neem, Saw Palmetto, and batana oils and Biotin Vitamin supplementation.

What brand is that? I had no luck finding it
If youre talking about the honey tallow face "lotion", I don't think brand really matters. I posted the image to show the written information on why those ingredients. I have a local rancher who makes mine. If you don't have a farmers market type hook, look for grass-fed tallow with honey added, for the best price you can find, will do the trick.
These look pretty good: https://www.amazon.com/Terra-Lotus-Organic-Grass-Fed-Tallow/dp/B0CVW8B1JM/ref=sr_1_4?crid=2YGXXBFAZ7OFK&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.NDygU3342HGXVL8x4wsiuKSJh6b19Y2CS3z1aAMu5yZnUk1hTNfc-EKDMvKuvy4BVHtgX4aJueeYTcrlx9ik3j5ahY_ZK2Su8ty4mO06cbkJlha5I12Nj5UeepkkFcBgOz5tkSHY8hNP-xGjIZETkGMyvBNfVnuYHs-ApTzipIxOtEv3u1EzSeQ6tU_PYMKF8l1xHQiWwj6kKEd1tN8ZiZmonA6IQjFSSQL0Mu_qf6Rr9V_-AN-OiNS_faadzXmtIY-R_cKU043KEtubOW9GPpM6fgJvo7qofX9Hi9NnnD_NjSSJoS0dQvpAa96vhZr6RdaXYryx-zBRFIVSSN50aGKN9yJN4XNEgFPmT7oisEs.oQ11EYt7siPQNQ4SAyaHGoinOWEEQw2vfKVK-hrerLU&dib_tag=se&keywords=tallow+honey+for+skin&qid=1740355228&s=hpc&sprefix=tallow+honey+for+skin,hpc,169&sr=1-4&th=1 https://www.neptunehealthco.com/products/grass-fed-tallow-honey-balm

Also if anyone struggles with acne , psoriasis, skin issues or breakouts, thyme oil spray is the best: https://www.amazon.com/stores/ThymeOut/Homepage/page/41C9DACF-60B6-4FEF-9BB4-8C5DF4C44B2A
https://www.amazon.com/Natural-Ecze...-Treatment/dp/B00NPDGG3E?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1
Will clear face breakouts or backne in days... also seems to help with skin / wrinkles

I recently picked up a tallow/honey face balm! Just seen this post too. It was actually my partner that got me it.

I've tried it a couple times and so far mu skin has been fine with it.

How are you getting on with it? It's very thick and similar to petroleum jelly (Vaseline). I think if you have crazy dry skin then this blend can't be beaten. It remains on your skin for a full day. When I was the following day I can still feel the balm on my skin very well.

Have you noticed any improvements with it? Has your skin tolerated it very well? The smell is definitely different from the usual (Smells like a farm 😂)

I'm gonna use it 2-3, times a week. I use tretonoin 2x a week aswell. Have you experimented with tret yet? It's rough at the start (Dry flaky skin) but once you give it a good few weeks the difference is drastic. Probably the best 'Anti Aging' product we have. I've tried loads of different blends. EGF serums. GHK-CU copper. Retinols etc and I think tret is top of that list. I don't use it daily. You can but your skin becomes very sensitive.

Thanks

Have tried alpecin caffeine tuner shampoo, by German company, words even spelled in german on bottle, got from amazon. One time doesn't work well. Stil grays at side.

Have tried alpecin a few times ,natural color for a lighter brown and if anything made grays reddish.

Have tried just for men two times, brown of some kind and light blonde, throw both them out

Anyone tried novahair leave in lighter brown?
