Maintaining muscle natty after a few cycles?

Hypothetical question.

If a person decided to run 3 or 4 cycles of prohormones or steroids and gained 20lbs of solid muscle, and then stopped for a few years, would that person keep most of that added muscle from AAS if they maintained calories and lifting routine? Are they permanent gains if you stay at maintenance calories/ training?

This is not my intention, but I was curious if is a life long commitment once you start.

They are not permanent, I don't care what anyone else says. Fact is you will grow while on and shrink while off...It's that simple.

Now will you lose all your gains? No, unless you complete stop lifting and have a **** diet

This. You will lose your gains but the timing of when you lose them can be slowed if you keep your lifting up, diet on point, and have a good pct of course.

If over a period of time you added 20 mostly lean pounds over a few cycles, you will not loose most of your gains if you eat, sleep and lift right. Are you going to be as strong and lean no. But if anyone tells you that you'd loose all of what you gained they know nothing about cycling or training. Of course if your not lifting right or eating like you should, then yes expect to loose that extra mass you added. The type of cycles you did is going to play will determine how much you hold onto as well. You did say Prohormones, which most are a waste of time.

It would also depend on how far above or below natural potential you are. If you were still under or around it, you could probably maintain it relatively easy. Above it, and then you'll start running into problems

This is why I don't get it when people say don't run a cycle until you reach your "genetic potential."

Wouldn't running gear speed up reaching your genetic potential?and as such, mean that those gains would be more keepable?

A lot of what you keep is genetic.. however what some may fall to realize is steroids and hgh have potential to change gene expression.. some gentlemen walk around lean all year round, while others work very hard for the same result.. it is the plight of man to try to rationalize his inequalities especially in size and intelligence.. but the phrase it's gonna be what it's gonna be fits here

This is a very important and often undervaluated point, plenty of studies in that direction have been done about how our diets influence gene expression let alone a pushed up hormones profiles and a beast attitude at the gym.

The point is that nature doesnt chance our genes randomly in 1000 years, what it does its basically making attempts generation by generation and if those attempts provide themselves useful they are kept while if they are not they will be avoided.

Just look here the simple lack of vitamin A signals the body a lack of light therefore our genes consider eyes no longer necessary to following generations, a genetical modification happened in just a generation due to a diet modification.
google vitamin a pigs born without eye balls

And here again an other proof about gene modifications happening due to lifestyle and diet
google astronauts gene modification twins
