a friend of mine is in week 4 of a 20 mg/ed M1T cycle. He is complaining that he has a chemical taste in his mouth that won't go away. Is this a common side and if not what could it be? He is kind of freaked out and i have never heard of anything like it.
 
No person on this planet should take M1T for 4 weeks consecutively. Tell him to start PCT and get bloodwork; hopefully his liver is not shot.

Say what? I've done quite a few runs of M1T for 4 weeks. You're perpetuating misinformation. Stop parroting that crap. Plenty of orals are hepatoxic.. and in my opinion, are blown out of proportion. Always get tested, but 4 weeks of M1T is no worse than 4 weeks of Drol. People run that all the time.

Yeah I agree, especially for shorter cycles.
I've seen a lot of M1T logs with few reported liver issues.
I guess in the long run we'll see just how much damage is actually done to the liver.
I would be much more concerned with lipids in the short term.
 
Yeah, but if he is getting a metallic taste in his mouth, then he likely has a build up of metals and his liver may not be functioning properly. I understand that hepatoxicity is sometimes exaggerated, but I think that consensus is that M1T should not be run for 4 wks @ 20mg.

Some have zero side effects from M1T, but others cant get out of bed. My thoughts are that he should stop the cycle and start PCT.
 
Maybe he is pregnant.

On a serious note, many chemical can cause a metallic taste. some corticosteroids, vasotec, vancocin, flagyl.....

I highly doubt that M1T has caused that much liver damage in the time period reported to the extent that there would be issues with either copper or iron. Unless preexisting Wilson's disease, hemochromatosis, or cirrhosis was present.

He would most likely experience jandice, ascites and extreme lethargy as well.

I am with Ubi most people seem to blow liver toxicity way out of proportion.
 
uh, I highly doubt my friend is the first person to do a 4 weeker of M1t.:cool: Anyway Rodja, i'd save that post for one of the rim jobs that suggests he is going to do a 8 weeker with 4 differnt methyls. Seen alot of that lately.

Now back on the topic. Anyone have anymore opinions or experiences? Could it be the chemical itself or is it the body?
 
Sounds like a good question to ask Mr. "blood test" to me.
