LUNCHABLES

I have been eating a deli fresh combination from Oscar Meyer on some days at lunch when I am in a hurry. The values are 16g F, 27 g C, and 20 g P. Do you think if I add a portein shake in there it would be a decent lunch?

I would think the sodium and preservative content of those would pretty much negate any advantage they would have...go with a protein shake, it's cheaper, you can customize the taste, and you know you are getting plenty of quality protein.

You are definitely better getting out of bed 10 mins earlier and making a sandwich.

Wholemeal bread, lean meat, salad. All washed down with a protein shake if you like. Maybe a piece of fruit to round off lunch.....

Tasty, nutritious, cheap and gives you the overall control over what goes into your sandwich/body

although the lunchables is convenient you are paying more and getting less nutrition from it then if you made a lunch.

Same as everyone else said. Ditch the pre-fab sh!t and get some real food (even a homemade shake is much better).

ugh... i can't agree with them being "good". They always seem like a good idea at first, then after a few bites something happens and I realize that they really don't taste that good to me. I eat some pretty unhealthy stuff for lunch, but I can't F with lunchables.

The proteins in cheap lunchmeats go through a tedious denaturization process. Meats for a nasty gelatinous paste and are either molded or rolledinto sheets. The end result is a protein content that's primarily gelatin.

Sodium Nitrate and Hydrogenated Oils can not be to good for you. If I remember correctly luncables contain both. The kids love them and the parents buy them thinking it is the healthy alternative.

Pack a few sandwiches the night before and you will thank yourself.
