Lump after shot of test cyp?

Sorry if I'm blowing this forum up lately with questions. I'm new to all this...

I gave myself my first shot on Monday--previously had one two weeks ago given by nurse.

Last night I noticed a "lump" near the injection site. It was decent sized. I seemed to massage the lump out, but this morning there was some good bruising. Did I probably do something wrong? Should I inject again?

I felt much better energy wise this time after my last shot, but still feel like crud today!!

You are on a rollercoaster ride of hormonal fluctuations. Using a harpoon you are more.likely to have scare tissue build up as well as bruising. Using a smaller gauge will reduce the chances

Matrix--as always, appreciate your thoughts. So should I be concerned about the lump and bruising the day after or not worry about it?

And it is normal to feel "less well" even a day or two after an injection? I guess u had thought I'd feel significantly better than normal.

--after tax return time and this summer (since I'm a teacher) I may have to fly myself to Pennsylvania to pay you a visit...that's where you are, correct?

If you posted about this before I did not see it so what size needle did you use and where did you do the shot. I use a 27 g 1ml. x 1/2" lg. needle and shoot into my thigh. If I hit a tendon I will have a lump for about 2 weeks. I do a shot E3D and switch legs for each one. If your using a big 20 to even 25g needle your going to have pain and if it's over 1/2" lg more pain. I have been shooting this way for many yrs and I have dam good levels.

Do a search for spotinjections.com go there and read how to do shots and make sure you read the info page.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. I'm using a 20g...it's red to the touch today....and a tad bruised. Doc has me every other week, Which I'm going to change after next doc visit....feel like crud today...thought this stuff was supposed to improve my fatigue!

Better off shoving a pencil in your azz. Just for a joke on one of my friends back in the day giving him shots for first time. I put a 16 gauge 2 inch needle on a syringe and told him "OK buddy bend over". You should have seen the expression on his face. Dr giving you a 20 gauge needle for shots really draws up several red flag about his knowledge of HRT.

Going on TRT doing shots should be done starting with 100 mgs / week this every 2 to 4 weeks treatment is very old and dose not work. Doing this big shot every 2 weeks can leave a lump and become sore you putting a lot of oil into your muscle and if the needle is that big and they did the shot to fast it tears up your muscle. The shot needs to be done slow. Even back in the day when I got my shots in my Dr.'s office in my back side they only used a 25 g 1" lg. needle.

The Test C shot will peak in about 3 days and then start falling by day 10 your going very low again and this is what we call the roller coaster ride up after the shot only to fall to low by the next one doing them E2W.

And most of this big shot will convert into Estraidol as this get to high it takes away any good the Test C shot is doing.

It's best to try and get your Total T levels up into the upper 1/3 of your labs range or when you feel best more is not better. And to keep your Estraidol levels down to about 20 pg/ml. After your tuned up doing this then in time little by little your going to feel better as the higher T levels start to undo any damage done from having low T for so long. It takes time so little by little your going to feel better as each day gose by.

Just remember doing shots every 2 weeks dose not work and as your levels fall by the next shot in 2 weeks this is what makes you feel bad your levels falling to low.

Are needles and syringes something you can get somewhere or do you need a prescription for it. He wrote me a script to only cover needles at 1 shot eow.

I have scheduled to see an endo at the end of the month for a second opinion. My PCP referred me to this urologist, but I have been disappointed with his knowledge on the matter. I have learned far more from responses here on the forum than my visit with the urologist.

State of PA you can walk in and get insulin needles with out a script, law just passed..
28-29 gauge half inch split up you be good to go !! Yep that is typically the case, why I am good at what I do. I assist and educate Dr's in cases such as these. Majority of cases I deal with are much much more complex. The principles are still the same

Your like the anabolic "Dr. House"!

I am know by my friends as "House". When ever any one has a health issue they usually will come to me for suggestions. When in the gym its very difficult to get a work out some days. If it helps some one then it was all worth it. I am getting a 50 year old with MS ready for his first body building competiton. I have another one who is on the kidney transpant list wanting to compete in the next 6 months as well. As you can see I have a wide and unique group of people I work with. When they hit the stage it will be a huge personal accomplishment, even if they did not win they are winners in my book.. Mind you I am not a Dr so I tell every one to talk it over with their Dr. If they do or not well thats a different story. LOL

Just to echo what other people have said:

- One shot every two weeks is just bad. Half the dose and take one shot a week.
- 20g needle is insane. I've used a 22g before just because it's easier to draw but for a glute injection 24g would be much more reasonable.
- In my state it's not illegal to buy needles without a prescription although there is one drug store chain that won't let you. Another one will let you buy all you want without a 'script or ID. Just look around where you live to see if you can find one that will.
- Not sure if I'm allowed to link to them or not but there are guides on the net on how to give yourself a shot. One of the things that can go wrong is hitting a nerve. Nicking a blood vessel will also happen. Make sure you aspirate the needle before you inject. If you feel really bad after a shot then it's possible that you injected directly into a vein which is NOT what you want to do.

If it's test cyp then expect 4-6 weeks before you really start feeling the benefits of TRT.

Thanks man--I appreciate it. Test Cyp is what I am on. I think I can get other needles from the pharmacy where my prescription is.
