Low T?

Good evening,

All natural right now as you'd imagine from the results, but edited just to clarify.

Age 32
Weight 240
Height 6 foot 1

Ok,

Free test range was quoted as (50 to 250), I don't know the unit, I think it's NL. My result was 111.

Total T range was (175 to 800). My result was 509.

Though the option for TrT is on the table, I feel it's not low enough to need it. I saw some charts claiming the avg test for a male with levels of 509 was in the 60 to 70 age range. Is this accurate?

Those ranges are way different from what I've always gone by

Your total t is mid range and the more important free test is fairly high. It would be stupid to go on trt with those levels.

My total range was 300-900ish I was at 430. I decided to do trt at that number at 49 years old.
I noticed over the past few years I was slowing down and feeling the effects of testosterone dropping. Not all, and not really badly, but enough for me to want to feel better.

One of the best decisions I've made in a long time. If you're healthy, have a good diet and exercise. And feel the symptoms of low t. At that point it's a quality of life question.
Don't get me wrong, it's not something you"try for a while" it's a big decision.
If I can push harder for longer, I'm in.

That sounds about right on the age question, but average with hormones is a wide variable. It's all about how you feel and function at the level you have.

I would prefer to not go on trt ever just because it’s such a hassle to constantly get tested and balance hormones.

I have not had morning wood in years and this is what prompted me to get tested. I think my best option is cut weight to 225, get cialis and monitor my levels going forward. Does this seem reasonable?

Thanks all for the help.

509 for a 60-70 year old is correct, IF you were using a traditional range on the test. For your test, your levels are pretty much average. You need to reduce stress, get good sleep, eat a healthy diet and get some exercise. You are not a candidate for TRT with those levels and any Dr that says you are is a fu&$!?g idiot!!

I do workout regularly, I’ve been lifting for 16 years. I have a commute that is 8 mins to work and little to no stress (single, no debt).

So I feel like that’s good to point out, but I can’t improve upon that much.

I’m thinking I’ll have steak more often, get cialis, and try to lean out.

Is 509 for age 32 acceptable? I feel good overall but do feel low t in that I don’t get much in the line or wood anymore. Other then that all my compound lifts are strong. 300 plus bench, 400 plus squat etc

How’s your diet?
Are you getting enough days off from working out?
If you have a high body fat %, cutting some weight will work also.

Research foods that help boost natural test and stay away from ones that can reduce test. Soy is one that’s known to have a negative effect on test.

Some medications, alcohol and drug use can also negatively effect test production. Look at any way to improve your natural production, use TRT as a last resort. I’ve been on TRT for 6 years and wouldn’t give it up but I’d much rather have natural levels.

Im 33 and my total test was 279 before trt. I rarely had a morning wood. i feel like my test levels were that of an 82 yr old woman, morning wood wasnt the only issue, and my first doc was hesitant to put me on trt.

Yeah I haven’t had morning wood once in years. That was what concerned me. I feel like adding in cialis should prop me up in that area and my t levels seem good enough not to tinker with

What are you test levels approximately on trt?

My best advice is to find a integrative medicine dr in your area. They are more versed in finding a solution to a problem versus treating symptoms like most dr these days. They’re also up on the latest research involving hormone replacement. They will do a full workup on you and really get you where you need to be.

If you guys need a self pay option you can always use Titan Medical. I think the site is titanmedicalcenters.com and if you call them you can tell them you are a buddy of mine and ask for a discount ( i get nothing out of this), it's merely I am friends with the owner.

These guys can do your interview via skype and prescribe you legit HRT dosages, say 200mgs EW plus other things you might need, like HCG. ETc. Pricewise I believe depending on your treatment it is $2-400 per month. Pretty pricy.
But if money is no issue I would do it.

I have been on and off HRT for 15+ years. I qualified initially after a vericocele damaged one testes and I was literally at like 90 nanos LOL. I personally like to run 100mgs E4d (and 250iu of hcg 2x per week) and I stay right around the 800-1000 nano mark, 7 days after my last shot and fasting, which is very solid tbh. I like to be on the high end of the Natty scale. This comes from someone (me) who went as high as 2G a week in gear during my heavy comp days, so for me to stay on HRT, I'm gonna want the proper and higher natural levels.

Best luck to you. Hope you get the treatment you need.
