Low T help!!!

Ok so I am 35 and went to get my testosterone levels checked last week and test level is 220 and free test was right in the middle cant remember exact number.

I have the follow up with my doctor tomorrow morning. Is there anything I need to know or say to my doc or do I just demand a script for test? I've heard the patches are no good, is that true? Any tips or insight is greatly appreciated.

I'd tell him how badly you're feeling. Make a point to emphasize your low energy, poor erections, poor concentration, and depression. Dr may give you something or they might send you to a Urologist.

I wouldn't let them put you on injectable testosterone cypionate. They use these old flawed protocols. Make sure you get a 2% transdermal or maybe something stronger from a compounding pharmacy.

One of your biggest barriers might be costs. Even good insurance might balk at paying much for testosterone. This is big business.

As a last resort, you can make your own transdermal testosterone using a testosterone base powder and Salvo from Iron Legion. There are a few overseas suppliers of powdered steroids.

One last thing, make sure to get your estradiol (e2) levels checked.

What do you have against injections? They're tried and true if used properly.

Perhaps testosterone undecanote would be viable for injections. Otherwise, most doctors give a bolus of Testosterone , followed by a dirth of it for 2-3 weeks. You get a big peak followed up by a deficit.

well the clinic i ended up going to today is starting me out on 200mg of test cyp and go from there. 1 injection per week, hopefully i dont experience any rollercoasters. the doc seemed to be pretty knowledgeable and willing to work with me to get my levels where i want them. one thing though, the original labwork i had showed total t levels at 220, the ones today from the clinic had total t at 130! these tests are 8 days apart. i'm pretty confused on how they are so low, no wonder i feel like complete **** and am having trouble making any significant gains in the gym

200 a week is much better than any dr in my area will prescribe. I ended up going with test base powder and Salvo for my own trt after a few rollercoaster rides and a lot of aggravation with various doctors. Applications of 2x a day stabilized me.

I think you'll be alright. The cyp seems to fall way off around days 4-5. Make sure you have a SARM or SERM on hand.

I have some exemestane. Plan on getting a few more things to have handy also. Plan on probably running a normal cycle of at least 600mg of test and various other things a few times a yr also once i get lined out with this.

What you're describing is the old school method of injections on TRT. Splitting your dosage in half and injecting every 3.5 days is the way to go. Many guys on here are on that protocol because it works.

@KC, sounds like you have a good plan. sam, the doctors here are not enlightened and use the old methods. If you try to alter it yourself, there isn't enough testosterone left. You'll end up needing to go to a source and supplement it yourself.

Even with insurance, it was $450 for transdermal testosterone brand, $300 generic. Hence the reason I created my own.

Are you located out of the USA?

That's misapplication of a proven drug. It's same as taking a week's worth of vitamins on Monday and expecting it to last all week.

Depending on your state you could use a mail order clinic.

I'm not the person who needs convincing. It's all these Doctors who refuse to accept new and proven research on the subject.

If you can split the dose 2x weekly you'll have more stable levels and usually less side effects.

I might try to do that. If drs won't cooperate I'll source it myself. Right now I'm doing alright with my homemade test gel with base powder in Salvo. I'm very sensitive to conversion. These days its all about feeling good and being healthy. I keep some adex on hand in case of problems.
