Low Sodium and Potassium Rich Salt

Humble

Member
Came across this a week ago and have been using it in place of my Ideal Salt.

Tastes like the real thing and boosts my potassium to sodium ratio.

Because most people are deficient in potassium, this is a great alternative to regular salt.

I like using Morton's light salt. It's closer to 50/50 and it is cheap at most super markets.

I've read about potassium intake being excreted out if the body stores of magnesium is deficient. And that it takes as long as 6 months to build back stores of magnesium when deficient. I know that was the case for me as well. Once I built up my magnesium stores, I stopped being hyponatremic.

Insufficient sodium intake can also increase excretion of magnesium (also calcium I believer). Probably not a good idea to over indulge or over restrict any one of them.
