Low free test

Hello everyone this is my first post here on the forums but long time follower .so as the title says low free test. Here's a little background. I am prescribed axiron 60 mgs daily which keeps my test levels at about 600-675. My last free test was 32 which was actually high. Well I decided to do a cycle of 750 mgs test with 25 mg exemstane Ed and half way they the cycle i added 10 mgs of nolvadex for more protection from gyno because I was still kind puffy and itchy in the nipples the nolvadex cleared it right up. So I stopped the injections about 5 weeks out from my blood work and stopped the aromasin about two weeks out from blood work but kept using the 10 mgs of nolva just to b sure and I also thought 10 mgs was low so maybe wouldn't effect anything testosterone wise. Also I added the azircon back about two weeks out from bloodwork. Well today my total test came back 650 which was perfect but my free test was 1.2. Which is super low last time it was on the high end of 32 . My doc said it may have been a lab error . How ever I am just really curious if it is the nolvadex that could have done that because that's the only thing I could think of ? Thanks guy
 
tamoxifen, but not raloxifene, significantly reduced IGF-I levels by 25 {+/-} 6% (P < 0.01) and increased SHBG levels by 20 {+/-} 7% (P < 0.05) at the higher therapeutic dose.
 
So since maybe an increase in shbg from the tamoxifen gave me a low free test
I take it . Damn I didn't think 10 mgs would effect me as much as it did I remb awhile back my "coach" used to tell me to take 20 mgs Ed or more if gyno flared during a cycle . I thought I was being conservstive
 
that is just my thought. SHBG definitely lowers free test. unless its from your cycle. are you on TRT? Id assume so with axiron?
 
Yes I am on trt I resumed the axiron two weeks before bloodwork and had last pin 5 weeks before bloodwork. I don't feel estrogen is raised either my blood pressure is stellar 110 70 usually and I feel tight not bloated at all. I do notice my libido is kinda crappy
 
hmmm yeah my guess is that SHBG is hight...

Natural routes to lowering SHBG:

Fish oil. Get in your omega's. Besides the other wealth of benefits it provides, fish oil has been shown to increase LH and decrease SHBG. Shoot for a minimum of 6g/day.

Magnesium. Increases free test and lowers SHBG. Should be getting in 1g/d.

Zinc. Shown to decrease SHBG. Should be getting 40mg/d in your diet.

Lower fiber diet. Higher fiber diets can lead to a reduction in test levels and an increase in SHBG.

Vitamin D. The bare minimum is 3500IU's. I would at least double that.

Boron. You should be getting at least 10mg/d.

Higher carb diet. You need to be eating plenty of carbs. Higher carb intake has been shown to increase T levels and lower SHBG, cortisol and estro.

DHEA. You should be getting at least 50mg/d

Many prescription drugs increase SHBG. The most common ones are sedatives, antihypertensiaves, tranquilizers. So know what you are taking and be aware that they may be increasing your SHBG levels.

Stay away from alcohol. Alcohol consumption increases SHBG.

Tongkat Ali. 250mg taken 3x/daily

Avena Sativa. 1g/d split up into 3 doses.

Since you are on TRT though, have you thought of Proviron?
 
products containing 1,3 diviniil can also help boost free test. Everything rycle posted is also helpful
 
Wow thanks for all help and information I appreciAte it . I have not considered proviron my doc had mentioned they have a "medication" to lower shbg but wants to see it again in three months before any of that. I haven't considered proviron because it has never been a problem my free test is usually on the high end before I cycled the test higher and used the nolva and aromasin
 
Test level has already been bound such as shbg and aromatase. Also free test is the test that changes into this bound form. Free test is the one thatt makes you grow

Before you start adding another ingredient into your cocktail, take a step back and realize you changed several variables since the last lab you took that had everything looking fine. You upped your test, added in aromasin and nolva, then stopped the aromasin and kept the nolva before the lab. As I am sure you know, you do not affect only one thing when you start tinkering with hormones and you need to regulate.

So, my advice would be to not worry about getting on something else and get back to what you were doing correctly before to set your baseline and then test again. If things don't look better, then troubleshoot. Otherwise you are clouding the situation with yet another variable.

Yes I will definetly not add any variables into the situation because I know it was fine before and I have cycled in the past. I was just curious what would cause that especially because iv herd people blasting and cruising on hrt and ususlly any problem they have had is there test and or free test
Being too high not low like mine was . Also I was perplexed with my test being normal but free test rock bottomed not even just low, so I was curious if someone had experienced that at all.
