You have some positives that will help in your favor. You are young so unless you have some health issue, your body is running at optimum range. Therefore, it may not be easy in the beginning, but the pounds will come off if you are patient. Could it be that you are getting way too impatient? I think you are and that never works.
You also have "Height" on your side. This is why you do not look that heavy. Another thing that they are finding out that plays a part is hereditery tendencies towards weight gain.
I would suggest a common sense diet that you can live with, such as Weight Watchers. It is not extreme and teaches you how to eat for "Life", not just for a month or two while you are losing weight. It teaches you points which overall is easier than counting calories. It teaches you balance and well-rounded delicous meal planning. Even eating out at fast foods are on the program! So, look into it.
Also, once again, be patient, and don't forget to exercise! Make it fun but try to exercise 4 or 5 times a week for at least 30 minutes. As you get used to it, increase the exercise and time.
Don't let others make you feel bad about yourself either. Your attitude will have everything to do with feeling better health wise, and emotionally too.
