Losing my PH V-plates with H-DROL! (epic story inside)

Nice update. Looks like everything is going well. Maybe just try to have less carbs at night? Hmm.

I'm actually thinking I'll ditch my PWO yoghurt and replace it with something non-dairy. I'm thinking that will probably reduce a little bloat and allow me to see how much fat I've actually gained as opposed to just a mix of fat/glycogen/water/muscle. I might drop about 10g of oats or something in the morning too. Nothing crazy, maybe just 100-200 cals a day and see how that goes. I'd rather make the changes soon though as I don't want to make any calorie cuts in my PCT.
 
So I've managed to get my hands on some Phera and M1T... don't know when or if I'll ever run the M1T, but I didn't pay for it so meh. Contemplating using phera solo or bridged for my next run instead of d-zine solo (both run with a base of transaderm though) but I'll have to research a bit more. I've read great things about phera though, so I'm tossing up between the two. For now though I'm still loving the h-drol!

Week 3: Day 5

Woke up this morning and was pretty tired. I had breakfast and was going to hit the gym but then just felt really tired again and went back to bed for another 1.5hrs. Woke up feeling groggy but then when I got in to the gym it was game motherphuckingON! Up 10lbs and 2 reps on curls, 20lbs on leg press for my heavy set and 30lbs+8 reps for my widowmaker.

Life is sweeeeeeet.

If there's one extra thing I've noticed, It's that my sleep has started to become a little bit crap. In bed by 10pm, up at around 2-3am. Not too sure why but I seem to function fine off this so whatever. Still loving the gains :)

Haha yeah, let's just say I got lucky! I had 2 bottles of d-zine so I traded one for a bottle of M1T just for the hell of it, so now I've got one of d-zine and one of dieselbolan 2.0 so that should be more than enough. If I run d-zine solo I don't see myself going over 30mg/day for 5 weeks since I'm still fairly light and very new to PH's. Don't really see the point in going crazy on big dosages that 200lb+ guys would be doing when I'm only just scraping 160.
 
Considering upping to 100mg this coming week (week 4) or the week after. I'm barely seeing any sides yet my strength is going nuts. Can someone add their thoughts here? That's one thing I'm not too sure about, when to up the dose and when to play it the same. Bottom line is that everything is working brilliantly just now, but I just don't know if a higher dose would be the 'icing on the cake' so to speak.

Keeping in mind that I still have a fairly low bodyweight. That's probably the thing holding me back, I see guys that have a good 50lbs+ on me and running it at 100mg so I'm not sure if this is something that is weight dependant.

I am starting my hdrol cycle today. right now i only have enough for a 30 day but im going 75mg after day 10, i may order some more to go another week. but after reading yours i am excited, becuase this is my first cycle too, and hopefully i get similar gains, but i am going to try and bulk....no cardio, increase calories, and dorian yates style workout (short but brutal). As far as bumping it up to 100mg, in my opinion your getting great gains with NO SIDES so id just keep it at 75, why ruin a Great thing haha. and ya since its your first and your lighter id stay at 75. i am at 185lbs and its my first so people have said 75 is good. What has your bench, deadlift and shoulder press done since day one?

Thanks for the input bro! Yeah I agree, I think I'll definitely stay at 75 and just ride it out.

Oh man, they have EXPLODED! I've listed them below as starting numbers to now. Keep in mind these are all done DC style, so rest paused slow negatives etc.

Bench: 70kg x 11 --> 85kg x 14 (always been weak for me from a torn supraspinatus years ago so I'm really happy with this, been stuck around the 70-75kg mark ~18 months)
Deadlift: 160kg x 4 --> 177.5kg x 4
110kg x 16 --> 120kg x 21
Shoulder press (hammerstrength machine): 55kg x 13 --> 70kg x 12

Seriously dude, my lifts have exploded beyond belief. I honestly feel that running a progression oriented program like DC is the perfect way to train period, and when on a cycle the gains are just that much more pronounced. You should see a similar thing from the dorian yates split, but I'd still recommend DC or 5/3/1.

The key is listenig to your body, can your ligaments/tendons/joints handle the increased gains 100mg can bring?

I totally get what you're saying mate. That's exactly what my thoughts are. With the way I am feeling now, I feel I can definitely handle doing 100mg, however what I'm not sure about is if there actually are any additional benefits to be had by increasing to 100mg or would it just bring about more sides with minimal benefits. The thoughts going through my head at the moment I guess are "if I increase, will I see more gains or will I just be pushing down more pills with nothing to show for it". I'm ecstatic about the strength gains I've made, but I really only care about hypertrophy. I believe the two do go hand in hand though.

The other thing too is my situation with my low test. Being already shut down, then jumping on a cycle at 75mg I'd believe I'm probably even more shut down than before but I'm hoping the combination of androgens followed by a heavy dose of torem will kick start my natural levels back up. If I jump to 100mg, will there be a point of diminishing returns where I'd just end up back where I started? What I find interesting is I feel amazing while on, and before hand when I was completely shut down naturally I felt like crap, so IMO something must be going on hormonally but I'm just not sure what.

Lots of things to consider I guess. What would you recommend?

No joint problems at all mate. If anything, my shoulders and knees have never felt healthier. I occasionally get a tight feeling in my right hip but 10 minutes of foam rolling sorts it all out. That's been lingering for 10 months already though so I just work around it.
 
I guess to add to that, the only things that even let me know I'm on are increased mood/libido, mild lethargy, insane strength gains and slightly increased sweating. That, and people starting to say "phuck bro you're looking big"
 
I'd say give 100mg a shot, if you don't feel its worth it after a week, bump it back down. Sounds like you found a compound your body really likes.

Yeah that sounds good. I might test the waters at 100 next week and if I like it then continue it the following week and cap it off at 5 weeks. If not, I'll drop back down to 75 and continue the 6 weeks as planned.

Does that sound good or should I just keep it at 6 weeks regardless?
 
6 weeks regardless IMHO unless you'll run out running it at 100, then stay at 75, duration > dose when it comes to solid gains IMHO.

Week 3: Day 7

Weight
Start: 153lbs
Current: 161.5lbs

Feeling pretty good these past few days since changing my diet around. I've dropped about 10g off my carbs, 5g off my fats and added 15g to my protein. Since doing that I feel much fuller and far less bloated. Vascularity is increasing as well I'm finding that my forearms have a constant, very mild pump to them as well, it's actually pretty cool.

My sleep was a little better last night. Still woke up after 4hrs but then managed to get back to sleep straight away for another 2.5hrs. Every since my sleep got screwed up during my prep it really hasn't regained. I used to get up at 2.30am to train at 3-4am. I'd be in the gym until 6-7am, work all day then by the time I was home I'd crash around 8pm. No matter what, I just can't seem to sleep past 3-4am anymore and it's been this way since August last year. Even when I've gone out and don't get home until early in the morning, I'm up in a few hours. I've taken melatonin but it really didn't do much, just knocked me out earlier. Getting to sleep isn't a problem, once I hit the sack I'm out within 5 minutes but staying asleep is where I have trouble. I suspect it's something to do with my T levels, hence why I got them checked out in the first place 6 months ago. I'm really just rambling now, thought I'd give some background info for you guys though!

No training today, just cardio and abs which was a breeze. Weekends are lazy days for me, I pretty much do 800-1000cals of cardio then I'm sitting on my ass for the rest of the day. Literally next to 0 activity. They're my recovery days, so I make sure I do just that. DC drains the hell out of me and work is such a fast paced high stress environment I need the rest. I still eat exactly the same though, no skimping on the calories!

On a side note, after my PCT for this cycle I'm going to get my bloods done again and see where my levels are at. If my test levels are still in the dumps and I'm refused HRT yet again, I'm highly considering running a low/moderate dose test e cycle (300-400mg/week for 10 weeks) followed by a very extensive PCT to see how it goes. I've found myself a source, it's just a matter of whether I can the HRT or not (this will be my 5th time trying). Although I don't really want to do it 100%, I'd much rather do SOMETHING about my issue than get screwed around by doctors and endos again and again. IMO (and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here), severely low test is far more dangerous for someone in their early 20's than moderate AAS use.
 
Week 4: Day 1

HNNNNNGGGGGG THIS SH*T IS SO IN! Another epic day in the books. Highlights of todays workout include adding another 20lbs to my incline press, and pulling an extra 2 reps on my deadlifts.

It's fair to say... I'm either in a major placebo right now, or my body is totally ready and ON. Loving it!

Got my torem today too (had nolva but decided to change due to dylangemelli's recommendation, dude is a legend!) so I'll be keen to start that in 3 weeks and see how the boys respond.

On a side - I'm starting to experience some slight gyno. I've always had it ever since I was about 10 (always been able to feel the gland underneath), but it's just beginning to flare up a little. Nips are a little puffier too. What's the best way to get rid of this? I was thinking about using some arimidex at .5mg EOD or aromasin at 12.5mg EOD. Would these actually reduce it in the long run though or will they just work as a means to keep it at bay while I'm on? I could also grab some letro and just demolish it completely and never have to worry about it again which I would actually prefer, I'm a little concerned with some of the horror stories I've heard on it though.
 
Week 4: Day 3

WOWZAAAAA strong workout was strong. I honestly can't say it enough... DC is the shiz, and when you're on cycle it's just THAT much better. Strength gains are seriously insane. It's hard to believe I'm only just over half way through this... I can't wait to do a full review in 2 weeks time and look back and what my lifts were like at the start compared to now. What everyone says is right, week 3-4 of H-drol is where it really shines. If I'm going to up the dosage to 100mg it won't be until next week. I might finish off the last 2 weeks at 100mg but I'll see out this week and then re-asses. In all honesty, I don't think it can get much better.

Sides... next to nothing. I'm having some very minor lethargy but I've got some RS Transaderm on hand in case I need it. I doubt I'll end up using it though and if I do, it'll only be for these last couple of weeks. I'm up 9lbs in total now since the start, packed on some fat but I'd guess it would only be about 2-3lbs. It just shows a lot more on me because I was so lean to begin with, so any little bit of fat gain is very noticeable. IMO that is a good thing though, it lets me be very objective when seeing my progress.

Todays highlights, increased curls by 10lbs, hack squats by 20lbs on both my heavy set and my widowmaker, 10lbs and 1 rep on calf raises and 5lbs on hamstring curls. Life is schweeeeet.

One thing I would also like to point out is that h-drol DEFINITELY impacts my endurance...in a good way! I do a lot of cardio, I'm used to it, and as such I can notice when something feels better or worse. I usually burn 800 cals in 35 minutes on the stairs, lately I've been doing that in about 31-32 minutes and feeling like I can go for much longer. I actually have to hold myself back because I don't like going over 3500 cals a week while trying to gain!

Still tossing up my next cycle too in July, my options now are...

1. d-zine solo: 30/30/30/30/30 (may increase in final 2-3 weeks depending on if I sell one of my bottles or not)
2. beastdrol/epi bridge: 10/20/20 and 0/30/30/40/40/40
3. test e solo: 500mg/week for 10-12 weeks
4. test e w/ SD kickstart and epi backload:
  • Weeks 1-3: SD @ 10/10/20
    Weeks 1-10: test e @ 500mg/week
    Weeks 8-14: epi @ 30/30/30/40/40/40

    *will possibly ditch the epi backload if I'm not feeling like I can handle it*

At the moment I'm leaning towards either option 1 or 3. I like the idea of option 4 but I think it's too advanced for me at this stage and I would benefit from it more if I ran it a little later on. Really depends on how my bloodwork comes back though after my PCT, I don't want to jump on test if my HPTA has restored itself, but if it's still in the dumps then I'll most likely go ahead since it'll be coming close to a year of being shut down.

Fun times, fun times! :D

Week 4: Day 5

Epic A2 workout today. My lifts are still going strong as hell and steadily increasing. I think I'll probably keep at 75mg/day as I'm very happy with how everything is going so far. If I was to go up and see even more strength/gains, I'd be worried that I wouldn't be able to keep it up on PCT. As it is, I'm progressively adding 10-20lbs or 2-3 reps a session on all my lifts. The last thing I want is to be increasing by a stupid amount while on cycle and then hitting PCT and having my strength drop considerably, so I'd rather maintain within a good range.

As for my weight, today marks 10lbs increase since the start! Sooooo happy with that! I'm 10lbs up, still holding abs, quad feathering and striations in my chest/delts. I've dropped my calories by around 200 since the first 2 weeks and I've felt much better. Still gaining consistently but not feeling like a bloated mess. A few notes to re-cap on week 4 (I'll do this now since I only lift MWF and do cardio in between):

- INCREASED vascularity. Like crazy. I've always been real vascular, but what I've noticed now is that my veins are actually looking thicker. It's scary as hell...I dig it.
- HARD and FULL! It took a while for this to kick in and I think it's mostly diet related, but I feel really full and pumped all the time now. When I'm training, it's just ridiculous.
- Faster hair growth. This one is kind of weird. Usually I could get away with shaving every 3-4 days, but now my face feels like a carpet after 2 lol
- Clearer skin. Did not expect this one at all. Considering I had extremely bad cystic acne as a teen and was put on 2 courses of accutane spanning 20 months, I was sure that I would break out. NOPE!

That just about does it for now, keen to see what happens next week!
